10 Day Greece Tours
If vacation time is at a premium and you want to make sure that you make the most of it, consider a vacation to fabulous Greece! Our 10 Days in Greece Tour doesn’t require lots of time off but it does allow you plenty of opportunity to explore three of the Greek Islands’ most beautiful and historic destinations – Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini. This trip combines visits to notable sights and plenty of time to kick off your shoes and stick your feet in the sand.
Begin with a flight to Athens and check in for a two-night stay. Enjoy your first afternoon and evening at leisure and get ready for the next day’s private half-day tour of the city, led by an expert guide. The tour will include the opportunity to view such famous sites as the Acropolis, including the Parthenon, Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechtheion; Constitution Square (Syntagma); the Parliament; the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier; and the National Library.
Next, depart Athens via ferry for Mykonos, where you’ll check into a lovely beach resort for a restful 4-night stay in a room with a balcony and view of the sea. While in Mykonos, there will be plenty of time for you and your traveling companions to test the warm waters of the Aegean and relax on the sand, but you’ll also be treated to a cruise to Delos, where you’ll experience a 2-hour tour of this important historical and archaeological island. Once the religious and commercial hub of the Aegean, the Delos of today has no inhabitants other than its spectacular ruins and those who care for them. You’ll see architecture and works of art that have survived for more than 2500 years including the Temple of Apollo, House of the Dolphins, House of Cleopatra, and much more.
After your stay in beautiful Mykonos, hop aboard the high-speed ferry for your trip to Santorini. Located 120 miles from the mainland, this spectacular island is one of the most picturesque of all the Greek Isles, home to lovely whitewashed houses and enticing black sand beaches. During your free time, explore the capital city of Fira, which clings to the side of a cliff, or head to the archaeological site of Akrotiri and explore the ruins of the Minoan era. Take time to also taste the island’s award-winning wines. We’ll also arrange a volcano and hot springs boat tour for your enjoyment, providing you with a close-up look at the island’s unique landscape and a chance to take a dip in the spring’s warm waters before packing up and returning home.
