Kayla!

We are back! & what a great time we had!!!! We had an amazing time in Amsterdam for NYE, what an AMAZING way to bring in the new Year. Hotel Roemer in Amsterdam was the best, Cute, Clean, Great service and food!!! We will be staying there all the time!

Our train ride was super easy and fun, we enjoyed the winter scenery and had great comfy seats.

Paris (O la la) our hotel was 5 blocks from the Eiffel Tower! We visited there everyday! We just had a great time.

All you efforts were great, helping us gain visa's and re routing our trip at the last minute you couldn't have been more helpful! Your package was very informative, and the cars and all hotels were expecting us!

Just had a great time! Next Up Morocco and Egypt :) Thanks!

Mr. B. Koonts, Atlanta, GA

Kayla,

The trip was wonderful. We had such a great time. The hotels were superior and everyone was so nice. We enjoyed traveling by trains even though they were very confusing in Germany. The tours were also great for the most part. London was John's favorite place but Paris has been and remains my favorite city.

I want to thank you for sending the letter to the Vatican and getting me the tickets to the mass. The Vatican was one of the most moving experiences for me. I was upset that I could not tour the museums but I do understand that they closed the Vatican early for the Christmas mass that night because of the Pope's age and him wanting the mass early.

This trip was amazing and we will be calling you again to plan another European vacation for us. We were so pleased with the hotels and their locations. Dachau was a very moving experience also. I don't know where to begin to explain how pleasurable the entire experience was and it never would have happened without you!! :-)

Thanks,

Bryant

Mrs. C. Bowman, Tarmarac, FL

Dear Kayla,

Thank you for the most amazing 2 weeks of our lives! I'm sending you 10 pictures from each leg of our journey, the first being Edinburgh, Scotland; next London, Stonehenge, Bath, and the final Paris, Versailles, Normandy.

You orchestrated our trip so well, we felt as though we had you by our side. Every detail was taken care of. The accommodations were well beyond our expectations. All the hotel staff at all 3 hotels were amazingly friendly and went out of their way to get to know us and help us. Those pictures of the Eiffel Tower are from our 5th floor balcony at the Duquesne Eiffel Tower Hotel. Breathtaking!!

The tours were perfect, and the guides were interesting, well-versed, and fun. We have only good memories of great days. Even the car transfers to/from the airport were perfect. Finally, thank you for arranging one free day in each location; it gave us the freedom to adventure out on our own and test our travel skills. We took a bus from Edinburgh to Roslin to see Rosslyn Chapel (From the DiVinci Code fame), and from Paris, we caught a train to Chartres to see the Cathedral of Notre Dame of Chartres, and even got to attend Mass in the Crypts there. We wouldn't have dared to do those very special things if we weren't bolstered by how well the rest of the trip went. Thank you again, and I'm sending your email address to everyone on my contact list with pictures of our trip.

Cathie and Kevin Bowman

P.S. my husband now thinks I'm a travel genius thanks to you!

Hi Kayla & team:

I just returned from my 17 day trip to Europe that you and your team put together for me and it was incredible. I got to visit Rome, Venice, Lake Como, Amsterdam, and Paris. This is the most time that I've taken off work in 17 years and thanks to you and your staff I was able to totally relax and enjoy myself. The hotels were beautiful, the tours were wonderful, and everything you and your staff suggested was perfect for what I wanted to see and do. I can't wait for you to plan my next trip to Europe, which I hope is real soon. I have already recommended your company to several people who are planning a European vacation. Thanks to you and your staff this vacation far exceeded all my expectations, and it's one I will never forget.

I truly can't thank you enough for everything you and your staff did for me..

Sincerely

Robert Smock

Mr. J. O'Neal, Conroe, TX

Kayla,

Thanks again. Our vacation was a great success!

Rome

--------

The B&B was in a good location for us, with easy access to shopping and to the metro for visiting the historical sites. The owners/managers were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. The first three tours were excellent. The length of stay and combination of tours and free time was otherwise perfect.

We were able to easily take the metro to the train station for the trip to Pompeii.

Pompeii

-----------

Although we agree with your assessment that the city of Pompeii itself has little to offer, because we are interested in Roman history, we found our visit to the ruins to be very worthwhile and enjoyable (and that visit definitely required the full day that was allocated). The hotel was excellent and perfectly located and the available dining was also good. We were able to walk to the train station for the trip to Florence.

Florence

------------

The hotel was excellent and perfectly located.

The walking tour was the best of the trip.

The balance between tours and free time was about perfect, but with so much to see and so much good shopping, we would have enjoyed another day in Florence.

Venice

---------

The hotel was excellent and perfectly located.

We took the water bus for ?6.5 each, not the water taxi for ?60, and found the experience easy and enjoyable. The hotel was an easy walk from the bus stop at St Mark's Square.

By the way, the hotel proprietors helped us find a chamber music concert that was a highlight of our trip.

Lake Como

---------------

The hotel was fantastic and perfectly located. The proprietors were excellent hosts. Their restaurant was superb. There was a wonderful walking trail close by that we used to unwind.

Thanks again for helping make our trip so wonderful. If you would like any other specific feedback, please feel free to ask. You offer a wonderful and outstanding service. We have traveled a lot in the 27 years we've been married, but this was, by far, the best trip ever!

Dear Kayla,

Raymond and I had a truly fabulous vacation, and it was largely in part to all of your efforts in making it so.

First I have to say how professional and patient you were with us as we changed our minds 40 times before we finally booked. There were times I cringed before I hit "send" or called you again with yet another request or change...but you cheerfully addressed all of our requests and helped create the perfect trip for us. You listened to what our unique tastes were and you "hit it out of the park!"

In Barcelona, the hotel you chose put us in the center of everything in sophisticated surroundings. In Florence, our hotel was equally well-chosen in its proximity to all of the sights as well as the ambiance inside. I would have to say that in both cities, the private walking tours were key. Both guides heard us and customized the tours to meet our needs at our own pace. We both felt like we saw and experienced the best of what both cities had to offer.

We will choose Destination Europe when we go back to do Greece and Turkey! Really, Kayla, job well done. Thank you for making the trip "goof-proof" and special.

Warm Regards,

Lori Flowers

Kayla,

I am so sorry for not sending you an email regarding my vacation; however, upon my return to the U.S. I have been traveling extensively for business and have always meant to send this off and it just got pushed out until now. My sincerest apologies for the delay. Regarding my trip to Italy, the only thing I can say is that you absolutely hit this trip out of the park! The hotels were fantastic, the tours were perfect and the drivers very professional and they had tons of helpful suggestions. The hotel Albergo Del Senato was definitely a hit and I can't wait until I can return. Positano took my breath away and I see why you suggested this location so strongly. Thank you so much for delivering above and beyond my wildest expectations. I have recommended your firm to several friends and family members and I can only hope they place their most cherished dreams and wishes in your capable hands.

Warmest regards,

Cameron

Dear Kayla,

I just wanted to let you know that our trip to Italy was wonderful. Everything was perfect: from out driver who met us at the airport, to our water taxi and escort who took us to the airport in Venice, things could not have gone better.

Our hotels were beautiful, and the locations were perfect. We were so close to everything. Our hotel in Rome was our favorite because the first and last thing we saw every day was the Trevi Fountain. The staff was very helpful, and the room was great.

All the tour guides were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We loved the train ride between Rome and Florence, and Florence and Venice. When we arrived in Florence, we were so pleased with our hotel. Imagine...frescos on the walls in our room!! Once again, the location next to the Duomo was perfect. The balance between down-time on our own and tours was excellent. I have to say that my favorite part of the trip was the trip and tour of the Frescobaldi Winery. The scenery was gorgeous, and our guide, Linda was excellent. I would take another tour with her in a minute!

Our hotel in Venice was beautiful, and the complimentary Prosecco was a very unexpected and pleasant surprise!!

I really enjoyed working with you, and when we get ready to plan our next trip to Europe, you will be the first person I contact. We have told all our friends about the fabulous trip that you planned for us, and I have given everyone you name.

Thank you again,

Cindy Birkhold

Hi Kayla,

Finally, over jet lag and time to check in with you. Absolutely everything went just perfectly!! We loved our accommodations. The small hotels so well centered for walking everywhere. The continental breakfasts I had been expecting had certainly expanded since my last trip to Europe. FYI, La Terrazza in Assisi had the very best breakfast and we loved the slight walk into town from that hotel. So very scenic.

Took your advice on all train connections and that worked out well. Glad we had an opportunity for local trains to allow us to see the countryside. Thank you for including the walking tours. Something we may not have done on our own. Very informative. In short, I am very pleased and have been singing your praises to everyone I know. And of course, I mustn't forget the Italian people, how very very gracious!!

Thanks again,

Cheryl

Hi Kayla,

This was our second time using your services. Thanks for a great trip to Italy. The tours, the accommodations and the food were all fantastic. We particularly liked the Villa in Tuscany.

We look forward to working with you again in the future.

Hi Kayla,

I apologize it has taken me this long to get back to you. I promise it is not an indication as to how Nick and I felt about our Honeymoon. As you know, neither of us had been to Europe prior to this trip ---- after, Nick and I are so excited we finally went and plan to return as soon as possible.

First, let me say that every dollar spent prior to the Honeymoon planning with you was well worth it! It was so nice to wake up each morning knowing that we had a plan. It was such a relief to know that all the details had been taken care of, and all we had to do was enjoy. We met another couple while on our honeymoon that had not arranged their car transfers to and from the hotels, airports and train stations beforehand, and they confirmed our suspicions -- making those kinds of plans while on your honeymoon is a hassle! Also, booking excursions beforehand ensured that we saw all we wanted to see without the worry of missing out because of long lines or sight closings.

Prior to finding you online, Nick and I were extremely overwhelmed by the thought of planning a trip to a foreign country where we wanted to see it all, but didn't speak the language and had never been. Working with you made our dream vacation a reality. You made our ideas a logistic reality and we loved every moment of it. Before we left for our Honeymoon, we were already talking up your services --- since, we have been telling everyone we know how easy it was to work with you and how helpful you were. I've actually forwarded our exact itinerary and your information to a friend who is getting married this summer. We highly recommend your services and will definitely work with you in the future.

Just to tell you a little about our Honeymoon, specifically:

Hotels

The hotels you selected for us were perfect for a Honeymoon --- the hotels in Rome and Florence were like a bed and breakfast -- breakfast was served to our room each morning! Then, the hotels in Positano and Venice were breathtaking! We woke up each morning in Positano to the Mediterranean and even slept at night with the doors to our balcony open! We were like rock-stars in Venice --- we had a sitting room, and office and balcony overlooking a piazza in Venice - we were sad we were there only one night!

Also, you should know, the staff at each of the hotels was above and beyond helpful. We made friends with a hotel waiter in Positano and he made excellent recommendations about where to eat and what to do. The concierge in Venice booked us a private table and told the restaurant we were on our Honeymoon -- we got into one of the best places around!

Excursions

We loved the history of Rome and the tours you booked for us really taught us the best Rome had to offer -- the Vatican and Coliseum. Our private tour of the Amalfi Coast was a great way to start our 5 day stay in Positano --- the tour was so all inclusive that we didn't have a need to visit any of the villages of the Amalfi Coast as we had planned on our own. The guide was super informative and friendly -- we got such great pictures that day. Our trip to Capri was also fun, but the best part of Positano were the days we spent relaxing on a private beach one of the hotel staff told us about! The cooking class and tour of a castle in Florence was a nice change of speed from Rome --- different from the history we exposed ourselves more to the culture. The cooking class was both ours favorite -- the central market is mind-boggling and the food we made was delicious -- we came home with 4 recipes! Then, capping off the trip with Venice was great --- a city surrounded by water -- amazing!

Overall, the trip was extraordinary and I could go on and on about how pleased we were with the our first as a married couple. I would love to share pictures with you, but have no idea how to pick. Nick and I took over 1300 pictures! We have uploaded them onto snapfish, organized by city.

If there is anything more we can do for you, please let us know.

Thanks for making our Honeymoon better than we could have ever imagined!

Amy and Nick Papa

Mrs. J. Krausman, New York, NY

Kayla,

It has been over a month since we have returned home from our Honeymoon and we are still talking about it! The trip was absolutely amazing and the hotels/tours that you recommended were perfect!

We loved Cannes so much. We loved that it was easy to get around by foot, and that there were so many good restaurants and shops and sandy, white beaches!! We wished that we spent more time in Nice, but then again, we truly were sad to leave Cannes.

We arrived in Saint Tropez and it was only sunny for one day. It rained the entire remainder of our trip - not your fault of course! In fact, the people at the Chateau Messadiere said that it was the first time that it had rained in 8 months! Just our luck. But we had a nice time and luckily stayed in a magnificent hotel.

I have attached some pictures for you.

I will definitely recommend Destination Europe!

Jayme

Mr. C. Weincek, Panama, S. America

Hi Kayla,

We're back! However, Betty wants to move to Amsterdam, so I'm not sure how long we'll be here. The trip went without a hitch and we had a very good time. Actually, we experienced some culture shock in Amsterdam, particularly, because in four days we only heard a car honk maybe three times total. Instead of SUVs, most people rode bicycles (big two-wheelers). Flotillas of pretty blonde Danish girls would bike by?Actually, smoking is still allowed outside in cafes all over Paris and Jersey, as well as Amsterdam; but in Brussels it's still permitted inside, even.

We did a forced march through the Louvre. When we arrived, there were signs everywhere pointing the direction to the Mona Lisa. Apparently, the prospect of walking among 40,000 master pieces is too much for the average museum goer, so the collection has been distilled down to one smirky painting.

We did not get a chance to visit Mt. St. Michel's, but we did see three other castles, near St. Malo's and Jersey, that were islands at high tide and had roads leading to them at low tide. Apparently it's a common trick.

We went between cities by fast trains. You know how when a train passes in the other direction, it kinda goes "clackity, clackity, clakity" by? Well, with these trains, the train going the opposite direction went "Bang!click" past in a second. You didn't miss any scenery, including giant windmills, lots of places.

The weather wasn't always sunny, but for the most part warm (one day in Jersey was the warmest for that date since records were kept starting in 1894) and it only drizzled some. We stayed in some very charming and quaint hotels and pubs and we ate great every where. Oysters, mussels, calf head, kippers, hare liver, snails—you name it. We walked a lot and I took some pictures, which we will share upon request (and some on Facebook).

Yes, things were pretty expensive. We got one Euro for every dollar fifty, but then food, drink and what-have-you seemed to cost twice as many Euros. Beers often cost $4 Euros, for example—you do the math. I will be enjoying my Atlas back here in Panama, all the more. Please let us know about special deals--Italy, the Greek Isles etc. though we won't be ready until next year. Do you do South America? Chile? Argentina? Antway, keep in touch. We will recommend you to anyone...

World weary but wiser,

Betty and Craig

Kayla,

We had a wonderful time and all of your planning could not have been. We will write on your web page about our trip as soon as the brain is working properly. Thanks so much for your help. The hotels, the transportation services, the destinations were all just right.

We look forward to traveling with you again.

Kayla: Thanks for a great trip. Probably one of our best in a long while.

Everything went like clockwork with drivers there when they were supposed to be, correct trains, planes, etc. We enjoyed every place we visited. Pleasantly surprised by Chesky Krumlov, one of our favorites.

The hotels were all in good locations with their own unique character. Again, thanks for a great trip. We would be happy to recommend your services to anyone!!!

Kayla,

Thanks for arranging another terrific European vacation. All the way from Warsaw through Krakow, Prague, Vienna and Budapest, the hotel selections, train connections and local car services were great. Your close attention to detail made the entire trip unfold in a completely enjoyable and interesting way.

This is the second vacation you're organized for us, and at this rate it won't be the last. Thanks again!

Thank you Kayla!

Everything you arranged was fabulous! Once again you came through with flying colors. The hotel in Amsterdam was a real treasure. The train there and the private cars were absolutely wonderful. Hi Kayla:

I want to thank you for such a good job in planning our European adventure. Everything went so smoothly that I can't imagine taking another extended trip without using a planner. My son was so excited all during the trip that he wants to take his wife Diane to England and Paris for their 40th wedding anniversary. All my friends and relatives want to hear about my trip.

I saw some baggage with colorful stickers advertising the travel planner that I thought that you might benefit from doing the same. I have found that not many of my associates have been to Europe so there is a big pool of people waiting to be told how easy it is with a travel planner.

We appreciated being placed in hotels right in the heart of the old city so that we could access so many of the historic places. Your transport to hotels, trains, and airports was excellent. We did not experience any problems with being English only speakers. My son drove the rental car and had no problems since the car had a built in GPS. We had free internet access at the hotels which let us keep in touch with family and friends. Our only problem was with time. We should have had another day in Paris and Lucerne.

I couldn't find the village Oberlenbark that my grandfather listed as his place of origin but it could have been spelled wrong or it doesn't exist now. My son didn't contact any birdwatchers because he was so busy seeing the sights. I had some discomfort with seat space on the US Airways flight to Paris. My legs were too long for the seat space.

I would recommend your planning to anyone. I still have Asia, Africa and South America to visit before I reach 100 years of age. Thanks again for your planning.

Hi Kayla.

I took about 700 pictures. The Honeymoon was amazing and your detailed itineraries made it that much easier to get around. Thank you so much! I'd be more than happy to post a recommendation for you along with pictures. We will be using you guys again for sure the next time we venture abroad.

Thanks again for everything.

Hello Kayla,

Thank you for the welcome home. Everything went off without any difficulties. The hotel's were wonderful and we felt very safe in all of them. The Cecilia and the Lion d'Or were our favorites, with the B&B coming in close behind them. The hotel staff in both Mont St. Michel and Blois were absolutely wonderful.

The tours were nice, I wish we would have requested the all day tour at Versailles, as it was really needed. The tour guide was great there, very knowledgeable and attentive, always keeping the group together. The best tour was that of the Normandy beaches. Our tour guide "Sly" was beyond wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. His English was flawless which added to the experience. He was very thoughtful and respectful. It was also a bonus that there was only 8 of us in the group. That helped a lot. There was a lot to experience there.

Overall, we had a fabulous time and I can't thank you enough! Everything you worked out for us, and on such short notice, went very smooth! This trip was wonderful and I really do thank you. I will definitely share your name with all of my friends and will use your company again for my next trip.

Thanks again for everything!

Thank you Kayla.

Yes, everything worked perfectly, with just one minor glitch (our flight arrived 1 hour early in Venice and we needed to call around to track down the transportation). Everything else was unbelievable smooth - we had no issues at all. All tours and transporation were on time and professional. It was a very enjoyable - if hot and tiring - trip.

We enjoyed all of the tours you set up. The Motorstars tour was exceptional - they did a fabulous job and I would recommend them to anyone else considering such a tour. All in all it was a wonderful trip and I appreciate all your help in making it so successful. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Thanks again,

Hi Kayla

We got back late Saturday night and are re-adjusting to the time change and work etc. It was a really terrific trip. The combination of activities with the guides, and with self-exploring was a nice mix. We tried to to everything in each city in the few short days we were there and I think accomplished that. There was not one guide who wasn't fabulous - knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating. Every transfer went absolutely perfectly - no worries. The first place in Prague was a convenient location and charming :) We were literally able to walk everywhere.

The Intercontinental in Budapest was a very luxurious hotel - room view of the river, great breakfast, very comfortable, work-out room. The last place in Brasov was also extremely charming and perfectly located. Overall, I think I liked the Czech Republic quite a bit though the food there and in Hungary wasn't our favorite - better in Romania. We loved the incredible churches, palaces, and castles everywhere. Romania physically looked a lot like New England, similar trees and mountains - but with much cuter towns. In Hungary we saw a Hungarian dog - never heard of before - a Puli dog - check it out because this was an incredible animal - and we may investigate finding a breeder in the US in the future.

The train was fun but with such a short time there I was glad we didn't do an overnight trip. Anyway, Jeff will be arranging pictures and usually puts them on snapfish - we can send you a link and you can check it out. But thank you for everything - it was so well arranged - the materials you sent especially (vouchers in order, maps) and every transfer, stay etc in every city. I know there are some future places we want to see in Europe where we haven't yet been (Rome, Madrid) and will be in touch at that time. Thank you again.

Hi Kayla,

Vivian and I want to thank you so much for the Honeymoon. It was everything we had hoped for and more! The accommodations and arrangements were perfect! Thanks for everything. Everything went really well and we can't thank you enough. The hotels in Mykonos and Santorini both even upgraded us to the Honeymoon suites!

We will send pics shortly and can definitely give you a "testimonial" for your site. Thanks again for everything!

Spencer & Vivian

Mr. J. Geyman, Appleton, WI

Hi Kayla,

Thank you so much.... it was the trip of a lifetime. Everything went extremely well. The hotels were fantastic, the locations ideal (maybe the best part) and certainly more than we expected. Transportation (we had to sprint at only one train stop, as our connecting train was late) and the tours were well organized and very informative. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Prague was fascinating and easy to find your way around...the hotel was fantastic and very helpful. Though the Munich hotel was a little out of town, it actually turned out for the best with the fantastic Heirsh (sp) Gardens, the worlds largest outdoor beer garden, and Nymphenberg Palace just blocks away and an easy walk to the S Bahn which was only a few stops from the city center and main Hbf. In Munich we were able to make it to Dachau on our own following our city tour. Which turned out just fine because we were able to take in the tour at our own pace. Oberwesel was a great break from city touring and we were able to take an afternoon Rhine river tour and tour the great castle just upstream at St. Goar. The castle was a dream stop with spectacular views and great food.

Paris was remarkable, and again the hotel was perfect. The museum pass more than payed for itself as I believe we made it to about 5 or 6 locations, including Versailles. A great itinerary, (kudos for putting Paris last and arriving on a Monday when most of the museums were closed anyways) early mornings, lots of walking, and use of some very efficient public transportation allowed us to see everything we wanted to with limited time in lines. We are little tired, but wouldn't change a thing about the trip. Thanks again so much and we will forward you some pictures once I get a chance to organize the hundreds that were taken.

We had a wonderful trip. It went smoothly for first time travelers to Italy. We took a couple of side trips on our own (Pisa and Lugano, Switzerland). Your itinerary was great-big city with lots to do and then little town with lots of relaxing, big city, little town. Doug and I both had a wonderful, romantic time. Just what we wanted for our 25th anniversary. Thank you for your help. Couldn't have done it without you. We look forward to working with you in the future.

Linda

Mrs. M. Kaforey, Cleveland, OH

Hi Kayla!

Thanks so much for making our trip to Italy and Greece fabulous. We had an amazing time. We loved our tours and the weather was perfect- sunny and 90 degrees. I highly recommend the walking tour of Venice. It was so easy to get lost in the maze of streets and the tour helped us get our bearings and showed us a lot of the city. We did ride a gondola, of course. Unfortunately, the gondolier could not sing.

Florence was so pretty. Seeing all the sculptures we've read about, including "David" was a great experience. The only regret was that the science museum was closed when we were available to go. In Rome, we were able to do all the things we wanted to do; like Audrey Hepburn in "Roman Holiday" we ate gelato on the Spanish Steps and put our hands into the Mouth of Truth. The Colosseum was truly awesome. Again, the Vatican tour was excellent.

The Pantheon in Athens was worth the climb. And Santorini was the best. It was so relaxing and gorgeous. Finding restaurants was no problem. We had fabulous food, and drink, everywhere.

The hotels, especially The Hotel Ira in Santorini, were great. The locations of all the other hotels were ideal. Needless to say, I will be coming to you for all my travel plans to Europe. In fact, Emma will be spending a semester in London from January to June. So, Amy and I will be visiting her at the end of March. Then, when the semester is over, we would like to spend 2 weeks traveling. We haven't decided completely where we want to go; definitely Paris, possibly Barcelona, possibly somewhere in southern France. I would like to spend 5 days or so at a beach. So, I will be in touch with dates.

Again, thank you for your help in making this the vacation of a lifetime.

Mary

Kayla,

We are back in town after a life-changing trip! Thank you for all your assistance. Yes, we did have a wonderful trip and enjoyed all cities we visited, some definitely more than others. Thank you again for all your assistance for planning a wonderful and unforgettable Honeymoon.

Kayla,

Lucy and I are back a week now from London. What a great city.

Plane left 90 minutes late but no real problem. The car was there on time to pick us up at the Heathrow, what a busy airport.

The hotel was located ,as you said, in a great geographical area, just around the corner from the "tube".

The plays were wonderful. Tickets for Mama Mia were seventh row, center (perfect).

We used the "On Off Bus" for the changing of the guard, Tower of London, the Jack the Ripper tour, and very short Thames river ride. I had no ideas the Jack the Ripper tour would be as good and frightening as it was. The guide from the "On Off" was the same one we had for the changing of the guard and he was outstanding.

We walked all over the city, from Portobello Road (fun shopping), Kensington palace and gardens, to St Paul's (climbed to the top for a great view) and Piccadilly Circus is really a circus with all those people.

Local pubs served great ale and food and were friendly as were all the folks we ran into on our trip.

Car service was 30 minutes early to pick us up on Sunday which was perfect.

We had a great trip.

Dan

PS: Joanne and I are now beginning to plan for the Alps in the fall of 2010.

Mrs. L. Moore, Plano, TX

Kayla,

Thank you so much for assisting us with our recent trip to Europe. Even though we are all frequent travelers, traveling with 2 teenagers in the busy summer season and visiting 5 cities and 4 countries in less than 2 weeks was more than we could have handled on our own.

Paris ? Lake Como ? Venice ? Salzburg ? Prague! Destination Europe's smooth transitions allowed us to enjoy making memories that will last a lifetime. What a treat to have a driver waiting every time we checked out of a hotel or arrived at a train station in the next city. Your choice of hotels were so perfectly placed geographically that we never had to take a cab and could easily walk wherever we wanted to go.

The excursions were well chosen also. What better way to see the highlights of Paris than floating down the Seine in a 1 hour cruise? And after a full day of sightseeing on our own and visiting museums and cathedrals, the Moulin Rouge show was a perfect way to spend an evening! The night train from Paris to Italy was unique and exciting? also thanks to the 1-day train strike that had many trains canceled and delayed. However, we were armed with your emergency numbers and although we missed our morning connections, your team was still ready and waiting when we finally arrived in Como. You might suggest that travelers rent a phone for their trip before they leave the US ? Our $19 per week unit from Cell Hire worked in every country we visited and really saved us with the train emergency.

Lake Como was picture perfect! Not only did we have rooms with views of the lake, but if we dropped a euro off our balcony it would have landed in the water! The local ferry allowed us to spend the day hopping from Lenno, to Bellagio, to Verenna, to Managgio and back to Tremezzo?very peaceful and scenic, with many stops for vino and shopping throughout the day.

Venice was hot and crowded but we escaped the chaos - our 2 hour private motor boat tour with our fabulous American tour guide, Talia, was the highlight of our vacation! In addition to the Grand Canal, we saw many of the smaller canals, popped over to Murano and really got a feel for the flavor of the city ? away from San Marco square.

Salzburg was a surprise! The Wolf-Dietrich did not disappoint ? luxurious 2 story suite with friendly staff, delicious breakfast, free DVD library, complimentary tea-time, free spa facilities with steam, sauna, and pool for those aching travelers, and computers for the kids to check email. This cozy town can be canvassed from one end to the other in about a 20 minute walk. Great food, welcoming people and all of the beautiful Sound of Music scenery we know so well. The Mozart dinner concert was fun, but we were much over-dressed in our "jackets required, formal attire". There were both adults and teens present in shorts, flip flops, and tee-shirts ? so word to the wise, double check the "required" dress code.

The Euro Rail Pass and all of the tickets and reservations for seats were clearly marked and easy to keep up with. Train travel was simple and carefree, and we got the hang of taking our own food, snacks and wine to enjoy along the way. Typically American, we packed too much and would have been happier with less weight in the luggage department.

Prague was hit with heavy rain during most of our visit, but even wet, Prague's unique beauty was breathtaking. The Hotel Retezova was blocks from the Charles Bridge and minutes from Old Town Square, and the Wenchelas Square offered some great rainy-day retail therapy for our teenagers to take advantage of the weak Koruna vs. US dollar!

Well done! Overall, things went smoothly from start to finish thanks to your expert management of all the minor details. It was nice to have all of the transfers, lodging and excursions taken care of in advance so that we were not always pulling out payment. Again, thank you for the part you played in making our European vacation a collection of fond memories. We would (and will) gladly recommend you to others who are considering European travel.

Hi Kayla,

I am so sorry for the delay in sending this email. I just wanted to express our sincere appreciation for all the hard work and effort you put into our trip, it really showed, almost as if you had planned the trip for yourself. Everything went so smoothly and just as outlined in our package, we didn't have to worry about a thing, all we had to do was enjoy our holiday in Berlin, Prague, Greece, Samos and Istanbul, which we did!

The hotels you picked for us in Prague and and Istanbul were so charming - we really loved them. They were so connected with the country that we really felt like we were natives, just so cozy and comfortable. We made it to each country without a hitch, which is impressive in itself considering the amount of countries we wanted to visit in 3 weeks. We truly enjoyed each and every place we visited, they were unique and beautiful each in it's own way.

Prague was just so amazing and romantic. Each and every building was prettier the next and there was just so much to see and take in I never knew where to look first, even the sidewalks were beautiful in Prague. Athens was an adventure, it truly was impressive to be walking down the street and all of sudden in the horizon you catch a glimpse of the Acropolis, one of the new seven wonders of the world. Istanbul was truly breathtaking not only in beauty but for the historical factor. I never would have thought that I would ever see the Blue Mosque, let along go inside or visit the Grand Bazar and spices from the Spice Market. When I think back on it now, I feel like a dream but if you had not been so willing to work with us and stay within our budget, we wouldn't have been able to take this trip of a lifetime and have all the wonderful memories and pictures.

I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that not only would I gladly and readily recommend your services to everyone I know, when I am ready to travel again, which I can honestly tell you I am hoping to go back to Istanbul, you will be the first person I contact.

I've attached some pictures of our travels.

Thanks again for everything!!!!!

Mr. D. Hesler, Deerfield, IL

Kayla:

Dan Hesler here. You sent my wife (Jill) and I on a two week vacation to Italy and Greece last month. It was absolutely wonderful. I wrote 50 pages of narrative while traveling, but I think that would be a little more feedback than you really want. I thought I would give you my impressions on the various hotels and expeditions we used, for the sake of future travelers. It was all great, but you probably could use something a little more nuanced than that.

Florence: The Residenza Vespucci was just as charming as it could be. The location was fine; it was a little noisy at night, but I think all of Florence is probably like that. Aurelia and her family were charming, and the room was excellent. I suppose that if someone were looking for a generic "four seasons" experience, it might have seemed a little casual, but if that's what you want, why go overseas? We loved the Residenza Vezpucci, and would recommend it highly.

The cooking class we took with Francesca Di Leonardi was one of the highlights of the trip. Even if you don't care about cooking (which I don't), it was tremendous experience. Whatever it was that we were doing for 3.5 hours, we talked, laughed, and drank wine while we were doing it, and it ended up with a nice meal. What's not to like?

If I had to do it over again, I would completely discard any American tastes I might have in cars, and rent the smallest thing they rent out. With the streets in Florence and Sienna, as well as the way people drive and park there, our Mercedes diesel might have been bigger than it needed to be. It wasn't a problem, but it is a thought.

Our hotel in Sienna, the Borgo Grondaie, was very nice, the staff were helpful, and the grounds were gorgeous. The wine tour was tremendous, and Valentina was wonderful. Like the cooking class, I would recommend it highly for anyone, whether they are particularly into wine or not. Getting into the backroads of tuscany and hanging out with Italians, even if we were paying them for the experience, would up being more memorable than cathedrals, which start to all blend together.

I liked taking the train into Rome. It was relatively stress free. I am sure I could have driven into Rome, but it might have been stressful. Our vatican tour (and tourguide) were wonderful. That is an experience that you really want someone to tell you the stories as you see the sights.

Our hotel in Rome, the Suites Piazza del Popolo, was tremendous. The room was fine, Marco was great, but we adored the neighborhood. In a city full of tourists, it felt like there weren't many when we went home at night. The restaurants were wonderful, we met lots of nice people, and I can't say enough about it. Marco's bed and breakfast, like Aurelia's in Florence, was totally charming. In general, we fell in love with Italy.

Santorini, we had slightly mixed feelings about. On the one hand, it is stunning beautiful. On the other hand, even though it is clearly a "couples" destination, it still had something of a Daytona-Beach-at-spring-break feeling to it. That's great if you like that sort of thing. (Jill would go back again, I am not so sure.) The coolest thing we did at Santorini was walk from Fira to Oia. It was a serious three hour walk, through hills, but it was secluded and beautiful. The hotel Ira (on Santorini) was nice. Manish was lovely to us, and he says hello. The room was great, and the view was spectacular.

In Athens, the Hotel Amalia was spectacular. It did feel like the four seasons. Of course, that is a different experience than the idiosyncracies of a family owned bed and breakfast, but it was marvelous.

All in all, everything was great, and thank you so much for putting it all together. I do not know when we will next travel overseas again, but we will not hesitate to call you again, nor to recommend you to anyone. Kayla Zeigler at Destination Europe - You have been wonderful.

Thank you again,

Dan Hesler

Hi Kayla,

Finally found the time to write back to you!

We had a wonderful trip that went as smooth as silk! The only minor hick up was when the train from Como was late and we would have missed the Eurostar had it left on time! Just as well we weren't in Switzerland where trains do leave on time!!

The hotels and staff were great ? especially the staff at Antiche Figure (Carlo in particular). We were extremely lucky with the weather and had a really fabulous time. The trip up to Jungfraujoch was amazing ? my favorite country was Switzerland and I would love to go back. It was fun to see the hang gliders landing in the grass square in the middle of Interlaken. Lake Como was beautiful and the hotel location unbelievable. Town of Bellagio was my favorite ? so so pretty.

Venice is such a different city ? hotel was a little far from the ?tourist spots' so we did an awful lot of walking and map reading! Ljubljana was definitely worth visiting ? lovely city ? very alive at night. The mayor closed the city center to cars so restaurants, located on these cobbled streets have put out tables and chairs and you can eat outside. Plus at several spots there are musicians playing and in the central square there is a big bar area with couches etc protected by marques so you can sit, drink and listen to music. Slovenia is a lovely country ? over 60% forest which is where Venice got all its trees from to build the city!

So thank you Kayla for doing an amazing job. Must admit I was a little nervous never having seen, met or talked to you but everything was great and so well organized. You are obviously a master of detail! Should we be lucky enough to do a similar trip again I would without hesitation contact you immediately!

Hope you have a wonderful summer and many thanks for making our family vacation so enjoyable. Even the weather co-operated and we only saw a couple of rain showers at night!

Best wishes

Lynne

PS Haven't looked at the photos yet ? when I do I will see if there is a good one to send you!

Hi Kayla,

We had the trip of a lifetime these last three weeks! Thank you for all your superb planning--your knowledge and experience certainly shows.

London was fantastic! The driver met us on time and took us right to our hotel. Our hotel was right on the edge of Hyde Park and we were able to see all the major sights, thanks to the Hop-on Hop-off Tour. Our train trip to Amsterdam went smoothly, and it was a great experience traveling by train across France.

We loved the hotel in Amsterdam and would recommend it highly! The hotel management was exceptional--helpful, attentive, and pleasant. We got to see many of the major points of interest in Amsterdam, and had a lovely, romantic night on the Candlelit Tour of Amsterdam's canals. The bike tour across the Frieslands was set up perfectly and we highly recommend the company.

We enjoyed the overnight train to Munich -- the staff was very helpful and helped us into our bunk for the night. We were pleasantly surprised by our room on the train; the private quarters with room to stretch out and sleep through the night. We loved our two days in Munich--we only wish we'd had more time there!

The island of Rhodes was beautiful. We had a little trouble with our flights home. Our flight out of Rhodes was delayed which made catching our flight to Frankfurt a bit nerve wracking. Once we arrived in Frankfurt we had to rush to catch our plane to the US. The time between flights was a little short, but we understand it may have been the only option available.

Thank you, Kayla Zeigler, for planning a fantastic trip to Europe for us. We will certainly use Destination Europe next time we go to Europe, as well as recommend your services to our friends and family.

Sincerely,

Kevin and Claire Matta

Just got back last night Kayla. Thank you for everything. We enjoyed it very much! All of the places were just beautiful. Both of us are big Mozart and Beethoven fans, so, it was a treat to visit Vienna and Salsburg. Yes, I will send you pictures as soon as I upload them. Your arrangements were impeccable everywhere...

We will keep you in mind when we plan our next trip to Europe - hopefully soon.

Thank you,

Lata

Thanks, Kayla.

We just got home last night. We had a wonderful trip, it was the smoothest trip I have ever had, especially with 3 teenage girls! The train travel was a highlight for us and was definitely the way to go, we even added a little day trip down to Pisa.

My daughters and I had the vacation of a lifetime. The hotels were great and the service was exceptional. I will post some pictures and put a testimony on the website once we get organized and un-packed.

Thank you again for everything, I can not say enough how much we loved it.

Jill

Hi Kayla!

The trip was wonderful and we were so happy with everything - Santorini and Mykonos truly are breathtaking. And our hotel in Mykonos was fabulous - I know we had originally booked for the Warhol but they allowed us to stay in the Monet which was a 2 floor villa, it was fabulous. The entire place was just gorgeous, not to mention the terrace we had with its fabulous view and private jacuzzi on the terrace. The staff at that hotel were all super nice, they were so attentive the service truly felt very personal.

We loved the staff at Santorini as well, they were all so accommodating and friendly and the views to the Caldera are breathtaking!

And of course the Grand Bretagne in Athens just made you feel like royalty - the breakfast was amazing. I couldn't have imagined a better honeymoon trip - everything was perfect.

Thank you for planning a wonderful time for us!!

Thanks again,

HI Kayla!

Yes, our trip was just amazing...from the boutique hotels to the multitude of sights and sounds of Europe. Everything was awesome, especially all the infinite details that you so very carefully arranged. It was an experience that my husband and I will truly remember and share with our friends! Thanks so much! I'll write more later and do the blog when my mind is finer tuned. Thanks so very, very much! ~Suzy & Gary

HI Kayla,

Our European vacation to London, Paris, Luzern, Zermatt, and Lake Como area was absolutely fantastic! We had a good visit with our friends in their English cottage, along with a taste for everyday life in England.

In Paris, we loved the bike ride to Versailles, especially seeing the beautiful grounds and inside the gorgeous palace. No wonder they had the French Revolution. The morning we left for Switzerland was early, and again our driver was very punctual. Having another smiling face to meet us and take us to the train station was perfect.

We made it to Luzern without a hitch. Luzern is so magical. The Hotel Des Balances can be seen from just outside the train station, with a short, 10 minute walk to the entrance. This hotel is the best for service and the room with a view of the river was awesome. Our balcony was huge! We loved looking at the historical church across the way...truly a work of art. The surrounding area, bridge and tower were awesome. We really felt like we were reading a fairy tale and it came true! The room and balcony were perfect, as was the very comfy bed and bathroom. There were even little stars on the ceiling. This hotel is very special indeed. Both of us could have spent several more days here, but Zermatt was calling.

We made all three trains to Zermatt, even the 7 minutes between Bern and Visp. However, it was worth having time to check into our gorgeous room and large balcony in Zermatt. Our room was decorated in chocolate hearts and sprinkles of red shinny hearts. How very romantic that was. Yes, we could see the Matterhorn from our window and balcony! The food at the Hotel Alex was excellent from breakfast to dinner. They catered to our every need. Again, we were sad to leave, but little did we know our Mercedes and drivers would be waiting in Milano/Lake Como.

Outside the train station, our driver, took us to our beautiful boutique hotel in Tremezzo, Italy. La Darsena has even entertained one of our previous vice presidents for lunch. The owners were absolutely wonderful, assisting us with all kinds of details. Again, our balcony was at lake's edge. We took the ferry to Bellagio that afternoon. The ferry station was only a five minute walk, if that! One of the most memorable aspects of this fantastic journey through Europe was our private car (Mercedes) tour around parts of Lake Como. Seeing the exact spot where Mussolini was shot made our skin cringe. On a lighter note, George Clooney's villa was spectacular. We also loved the little, quaint restaurant on the lake for a delicious lunch and all the small, back stairways we used to get to it! Furthermore, we went into the Villa Este for a look at the grounds and inside this eloquent and very exclusive place to stay - WOW! Andrea, our driver, was the very best of the best!

Kayla-thank you so much for all of these details that made our trip to Europe so very special! Your abilities to coordinate activities are fantastic and will be recommended to our friends who really want to enjoy every minute of their European vacations. Details do make the difference!

Kayla:

Lea and I are got back late Tuesday and are now adjusting to life without pasta and pizza.

I want to thank you for making the trip as wonderful as it turned out to be. The planning was seamless and it made for a trip that was worry free, exciting and filled with new adventures in every city we visited. We could not have done it without your help, insights and recommendations. Your experience and suggestions were priceless and we felt confident that everywhere we travelled we were going to enjoy ourselves immensely thanks to the thought and preparation you put into this trip. Thanks from the both of us.

I will not hesitate to recommend your services to my friends and family (several of whom are planning trips next year). And, hopefully, you will hear from us again for our next adventure to Europe. I wouldn't travel without you! The trip was fabulous, better than we could have hoped for and smooth as could be thanks to your planning. We can't wait to do it again with your knowledge and help standing behind us.

Ciao for now,

Bob

Hi Kayla,

Thanks for your note. We had a spectacular time on our Italy trip, thanks to you! It sounds like such a cliché to say that it was priceless but experiencing a trip like this with your family is indeed that. For most people, there are not that many times in your life when you can take a family trip like the one you planned, make some wonderful memories and remember your time together is a beautiful country with such fondness.

The transportation, hotels, and excursions you planned for us were just what we wanted. We loved all the places we went ? all were different and we couldn't really pick a favorite as they all offered different things. All the hotels you picked were very personable with their guests ? the owners of the hotel in Lake Como treated us (and all the other guests ) like family, the one in Florence took our breath away it was so beautiful and the Rome hotel was great for us as it was nice to get out of the busiest part of Rome and have a relaxing retreat (especially loved the Roof Top Garden). We met so many nice people along the way too.

Thank you again ? I would be happy to post a letter of testimony for you, just let me know how that works. Talk to you soon!

Dear Kayla,

We had a wonderful time in Paris! The weather was fabulous and the food was great! Everyone warned us of how rude Parisians are, but we did not find this to be true at all. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Most people even spoke a little English. The only rude people we encountered were the American's on the flight home.

One of our favorite things to do was to get a baguette and wine and picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower. It was nice just to sit and lounge and take in Paris. Every where we went Parisians were just sitting and visiting. They really know how to live!

We loved our hotel. It was very nice. Super comfortable bed. The staff was very kind and helpful. They were able to recommend good restaurants in the area. It was a very cute boutique hotel. I often borrowed playing cards from the lobby to take with us on our picnics.

The open air bus was great. It was a wonderful way to see the sights. We loved our bike trip to Versailles. The staff was fabulous! The market we went to was wonderful! Really good food. The ride was very easy and we got to see a lot of the grounds. It was fun rushing to get our bikes onto the crowded train.

The Seine river cruise was neat. We got to see a lot that we wouldn't have seen on foot. We also got to go up top the Eiffel Tower at sunset. Great photo opportunity!

We had such a great time. Your white folder with all the information came in very handy. We knew exactly where to meet our pickup and how to get to our excursions. It was great! We plan to go back to Paris next year and then on to Italy! We will definitely use your services.

Thanks for all your help and patience. I know we changed our minds a lot! You didn't mind changing our itinerary multiple times. You were great!

Thanks for everything!

Natalie

Dear Kayla,

Thank you so much for the delightful trip that you orchestrated for us. In Florence, the Pallazo Di Nicollini hotel was luxurious and beautiful, perfectly situated across the street from the Duomo, which made it very easy to find so we did not get lost in the city. Jane, our tour guide that you arranged, truly brought the city to life for us; she cannot be praised enough, and I hope that you will use her often for your customers.

The train travel between Florence and the Cinque Terre went smoothly because of your attention to detail, and the farmhouse in Monterosso, Casa Dei Limoni, was comfortable and quiet, as it was outside of the main thoroughfares of town. The highlight was the dinner for our anniversary that you arranged for us at the Hotel Porto Rocco. It was scrumptious and a perfect location in which to celebrate.

Honestly, Kayla, the trip was so very well-organized and planned, and it took all of our stress about international travel away. Thank you, again, for creating for us a magical European holiday, and we will certainly spread the word of your fabulous services.

Sincerely,

The Maxsons

Great thanks! Yes - I hope we get to go again to Europe so I can use you again! We really had a great time. Wonderful places that you had us stay!!!! Italy is such a beautiful, romantic country! The private chauffer driver was EXCELLENT for our 8 hour tour of the Amalfi coast!!! That is a must for anyone touring the coast. Positano was the best centered location and wonderful village to stay! Lake Como was my favorite. The hotel and the area was just wonderful. Thanks again for your help.

Hello Kayla,

We had a great time in Spain. Thank you very much for all your work - I realize how much headache I was able to avoid when I put you in charge of the details of our trip. Overall, everything went quite smoothly. I was quite impressed how you were able to get us through a potential disaster with the last minute flight change from Valencia to Granada. It really shows you watch over and care for your clients, even after the transactions are already finalized.

Barcelona - Hotel 1898 was an excellent, excellent, excellent choice - thank you for recommending it. This was my favorite among all the hotels that we stayed in the whole trip. It was supposed to be designed to remember 2 of Spain's last colonies - Philippines and Cuba (very appropriate for a Filipino-Cuban couple.) The private terrace and the rooftop of the hotel were very nice places to relax after a lot of walking done the rest of the day. The staff were all friendly and very nice.

In Madrid, the Ritz Hotel upgraded us to a suite! - that was nice. We had a balcony overlooking the Prado museum.

Spain is a wonderful country - you get to see the differences of cultures as you travel through the different regions (Catalunya, Andalucia, Castillan)... I liked Barcelona and Granada the most. Roly liked Valencia the most. I have an endless list of wonderful things to say about the places that we've seen, and the things that we've done - but i just included comments here which maybe useful feedback to use in future planning for your other clients...

Again, we are grateful to have you as our travel agent... when the economy recovers a little bit, we do plan to visit other countries in Europe... I'm thinking UK and Amsterdam would be next (or maybe Italy and Greece)... when the time comes, we will be contacting you again...

It was very a very nice experience exploring Spain following our own customized schedule. We look forward to doing it the same way when we visit other countries in Europe - and we would definitely use your top-notch services again.

Thanks again,

Neil

Hi Kayla,

I am back in Texas. Sorry I haven't written sooner, but I have been busy writing to all my new friends in Germany. The Munich hotel was great as usual. I saw many old friends. My room was an upgrade, and one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in. The tours were first class. Most of the guides were familiar to me because I had them as guides last year. But I was so surprised when one of them remembered me. I told him that it was understandable that I would remember him. After all, I can count on both hands the number of tour guides I have had, but I know he must guide thousands each year.

Nienburg was my salvation however. I know you really didn't have much to do with my stay there. My hotel was not 4 or 5 star, but it was definitely a nice place to come home to at the end of the day. The room did not have a telephone, and I never found out how to operate the TV until the day before I left, but my entire stay probably didn't cost half as much as one night in Berlin. And whats more, my friend Annette paid for the entire stay.

Finally, when I got to Frankfurt, I was told my room had been upgraded, too. That is when I started to suspect that you were behind all these upgrades. If so, you really didn't need to do that, but I guess that is what a friend does. Frankfurt was a joy as well. The trip to Braunfels couldn't have gone better. I took the River Rhine cruise with my new tour guide friend, and we went up to the top of one of the tallest buildings in Frankfurt. Of course, I will send pictures of all these places later.

Thank you again for such a fantastic time. I will never forget how nice you have been. This was definitely my best trip to Germany.

Kind regards,

Joseph

What a fantastic trip!!! We arrived home late yesterday afternoon and I was seeing patients at 7AM this morning. Surprisingly I'm not too jet lagged.

Everything went quite smoothly. I was extremely satisfied with the services and hotel accommodations booked. For the price, It was worth it. More important, I must commend you on your professionalism, concern and personal touch. You helped us create a dream vacation. You did a great job!!! Hopefully we can do this again in the future.

Once I get settled, I will send some photos and a letter of support for your web site.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you

Dr Richard Zapanta

Dear Kayla

My wife Rebecca and I truly want to thank you, once again, for organizing our recent dream vacation to Istanbul, Budapest, Vienna and Prague. Your concern and monitoring, from beginning to end, was truly appreciated. Your professionalism cannot be overstated.

Your recommendations for hotels, travel, tours etc. were excellent. Pricing of our trip, my main concern, was very reasonable and worth every penny. Our entire trip went quite smoothly.

I have told family and friends of our satisfaction with your services. It was truly a pleasure to work with you as we planned our trip. Perhaps we can do this again in the future. Consider us very satisfied customers with many fond memories.

Warmest regards

Dr Richard Zapanta

Hi Kayla,

Thank you so much for following up. I wanted to thank you for planning such a wonderful trip for Jason and I. We had the time of our lives. It was so worth it to get all the skip the line tours and all the transfers. Thanks for suggesting that. You had every detail covered and you were so easy to work with. Your replies were always timely and professional. We really appreciate all your hard work.

I'll give you a quick city by city recap.

Paris- I have to say is my personal favorite. The hotel was nice, we had a great view of the Eiffel Tower and could even see the Eglise du Dome too. The food was amazing and despite public opinion everyone was very nice to us. The bus tour on the first day was ideal because it let us see everything and got us situated. The tour of Versailles was AMAZING!! I'm so glad we did it on a weekend because the fountains were just breathtaking. The Louvre is huge, we were very impressed. The Bateaux Parisiens was great and we got to see it get dark on the way back and take all our "night shots".

Florence- The overnight train was an experience. We had no expectations and made the best of it. Florence was just so quaint and amazing. WOW, the Palazzo Galletti is just beautiful!!! Thank you so much for that. It's like no one knows about it but it's a hidden treasure in a great part of town. We loved the Academia and had an excellent guide. We both learned so much. We had to skip the Uffizzi for a nap, but hey that's the luxury of a vacation. Guess we'll have to go back. =)

Roma- (Our guide said we may no longer call it Rome) This was Jason's favorite spot. Our hotel was equally as impressive as Palazzo Galletti. Hotel Anselmo is Super!! It was really cool to be on the Aventine Hill and away from the main city. We loved that area. Can't say enough about the Vatican, words do not give the experience justice. The Ancient Roma tour was FAB. Lots of walking but so worth it. We also got a chance to go to the Rose Garden nearby, gorgeous.

Well thanks again for a wonderful trip. We hope we are blessed enough to use your services again in the future. Recap is that it was an AWESOME time!! Attached are some pics for each city. (Versailles, Ponte Vecchio, Colosseum)

Thanks a million,

Maria & Jason

Mr. M. Harrison, Indianapolis, IN

Kayla,

First, thank you very much for a tremendously wonderful honeymoon. Beth and I had a fantastic time stay in Italy. All of the hotel accommodations were great in their own way - we LOVED Villa Gabrisa in Positano and the Caesar House was extremely charming. The tours were also very impressive and informational and sparked new interests in both of us.

I came to fall in love with the work of Carvaggio! I also cannot stress how important the private drivers were particularly from Naples to Positano. We met a couple that had a nightmarish experience navigating the same path on their own.

You were outstanding and I will highly recommend your services to my friends and family and will look to you to help us plan our next trip to Europe.

BTW, we ended up renting a scooter while at Positano and rode to Ravello and back. It was one of the highlights of the trip but was also one of the scariest! You warned me.

All the best,

Mike

Hello Kayla:

Thank you for your welcoming message, and many thanks for all your help with this trip. We returned this weekend from a thoroughly enjoyable three week journey across northern Italy. All of the hotels you selected for us were excellent -- location perfect for our purposes and with great service. We particularly enjoyed the Hotel Marconi at Sirmione and the Grand Hotel Sitea in Turin: very different experiences but each outstanding.

Needless to say all of the places we visited -- Bergamo, Venice, Sirmione, Como and Turin (as well as Milan) were interesting and revealed the great range of experiences available in the region. Without your advice and organization of the trip, it would certainly have been far more demanding on our time and energy. We will certainly consult you again when we take another trip to Europe, possibly to southern Italy or the Greek islands.

Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip and want to thank you for the excellent choices of hotels, tours, etc. and your work arranging for the bookings. It was probably the best trip we have ever had to Europe.

With best regards,

Graham and Deb Taylor

Mr. I. Hill, Olathe, KS

Good Morning Kayla,

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, it has been hectic at work trying to catch back up.

The trip to Europe was amazing; it was everything I hoped it would be and more. We had a great time site seeing and meeting different people. I had no idea how many people from that many different nations would all be co-mingled in one place. I personally do not speak any other languages and I thought it was going to be difficult to interact with people over there. It was surprising how many people were able to speak English. The hotels that you picked out for us were great, the one in Brussels' was very nice and trendy while the one in Amsterdam was very comfortable and felt much like home. I really didn't know how much exercise I was going to get, I think we had to have walked a hundred miles this trip and probably logged another thirty miles on bicycle. I can honestly say that I have never in my life seen that many bicycles in one place; it was mind blowing getting off the train and seeing that.

There is not a question in my mind that I will return to Europe, the question is when. I hope it will be in the next year or two and I would even like to own a place out there that I could go too a few months a year. But we will see about that. I want to thank you for all of your help, it was the best. I will recommend your service to anyone planning a trip.

Thank you so much...

Hi Kayla,

Thank you so much for your recent work on my eastern Europe vacation. Bar none, this was the best vacation of my life and I won't ever consider traveling without your help and expertise again!!!

Everything was so wonderful and you nailed my hotel needs to the letter. All of them were so perfect, and in the best location, which allowed me to experience each city to the fullest. I can't even pick a favorite hotel for you because each one was so wonderful -- and the hotel staff as well. All the details went smoothly and every airport/hotel pickup seamless! As well as the tour details?.in Salzburg, Budapest, Split, Vienna and Prague?each tour was exactly what I wanted to familiarize myself with the city, making my own wandering around that much more enjoyable.

This vacation was truly magical and with your help on all the details, I was able to enjoy these amazing cities without a single thought to my travel plans ? which was exactly what I wanted! I cannot thank you enough and we will definitely work together again. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

I took about a thousand photos, so I will send you a few once I sort them. Thanks again, Kayla, you helped make this the most memorable experience for me and I cannot express to you how absolutely wonderful and amazing this vacation was for me.

Best,

Rita

Hi Kayla

I had a wonderful time on the trip. Everything very smooth. Twenty days just wasn't long enough. The weather was beautiful except for the normal rains both nights in London. Berlin was my favorite city and had the best hotel of the trip. The ferry ride from England to Holland was very enjoyable as was the overnight train from Munich to Venice.

I even got to hear the pope speak in Vatican City. Your company did well with all of those train tickets and the hotel choices were very good. The staff at every hotel spoke perfect English and were helpful with whatever I needed. I also enjoyed the hotel in Venice being only one block from the train station and the hotel in Munich being one block from Hersch Beer Garten. The hotel in Rome was only a 2 minute walk from the tour bus stop. The whole trip was cool. This was my third time using the services of Destination Europe and I have been happy with all of the trips.

Thank you so much as always!

Aloha Kayla!!

I'm so sorry that it's taken so long for us to get back to you but it does take a while getting back to reality. Other than the lost bag, which we are still dealing with and have yet to receive any compensation from Virgin, everything was awesome!

We were both so happy with your accommodation choices as well as with all of your planning! We were so grateful for having you coordinate everything and not only would we require your services in the future but will highly recommend you to everyone we know! It was one the wisest decisions that we've made, hands down.

Lenore and I want to compose a letter complimenting you on your services and promise will do it ASAP along with some pictures to go along with it but unfortunately we have yet to go through all of the thousand of pictures that we took!! I know, it's embarrassing to say but getting back to the grind is harder than we thought.

Thanks again Kayla and look forward to hearing from you!

Aloha Always,

Palani and Lenore

Hi Kayla,

Our vacation to Italy was absolutely amazing, and my wife and I are so grateful for your efforts. The whole trip went so smooth, and we really appreciated your attention to the details. Everything was wonderful; the hotels, car transfers, trains, towns, maps and on and on.

Our stay on the Amalfi coast was just breathtaking. Your choice of Positano was outstanding, as it turned out to be a great location for visiting all the destinations on the Amalfi Coast. We were able to visit Amalfi, Praiano, Sorrento, Pompeii and Capri. Our favorites included the breakfast on the balcony with panoramic views of the sea, shopping in Sorrento, and the amazing scenery in Capri and on the Walk of the Gods from Bomerano to Praiano. The best decision you made for us was getting us the private transport from Naples to Positano. We talked to some other folks that got stuck in Sorrento waiting for the bus. It turned out that we arrived on a Holiday weekend, and there were over 150 people waiting to catch the bus in Sorrento. That would have been dreadful, but your heads up planning saved us.

The stay in Rome was great. The hotel owner was willing to do anything for us. We worked out a time to arrive, and he suggested we take the Taxi service from the train station to the hotel. He said it would cost around 10 euro if we got an honest driver, and that he would pay any additional amount. It turns out that we did not get the honest driver, but the one who thought he could rip off the pitiful Americano. After passing our destination and driving another 10 blocks before turning around and coming back, the meter ran up to 20 euro. I was willing to pay him the 20 euro, but he wanted an additional 10 for putting our luggage in the trunk. So a 10 euro cab drive quickly turned into 30, which I was just unwilling to pay. It was actually quite entertaining to have a complete argument in the middle of the street with neither party understanding a word the other was saying. Thankfully, the hotel owner took over my pleas in a language the driver could understand, and all was well after he threatened to call the police. He finally agreed to the 20 euro, of which I paid ten, and the hotel owner graciously paid the other 10. It was really quite the adventure.

Rome was great, and the Vatican tour was wonderful. There were many tour groups around with dozens of people in each group. We were very thankful that our group had only 6 people. The tour was very personal, and we were able to ask a lot of questions. After the tour, we took the elevator up half way to the top of St. Peters and then climbed the rest. There is so much walking to do in Rome, it was worth any price to save a bit of energy. The panoramic view at the top was breathtaking. We followed up St Peters with the underground Rome tour and the Catacombs. This turned out to be one of the most interesting tours of the whole trip. I finally understand now why they are digging up cities such as Rome. It turns out that over the years, the old city was filled in with dirt, and the old walls were used as foundations for the new levels above. We found out that the most ancient Rome is below the ground.

After Rome, we headed by train to Florence. The couple that runs the B&B was so very kind to us. They made phone calls for us, printed out maps for us, and gave us come valuable pointers. She is a gourmet chef, and we were able to have dinner at the B&B. She made us a very delightful authentic Italian meal. The town itself was simply delightful. The views from the bell tower and Piazzale Michelangelo were again unbelievable. I would recommend them both. One of our favorite activities in Florence was to simply relax on one of the bridges after a long day of walking and exploring watching the sunset and enjoying some Gelato.

After visiting Amalfi, Capri, Rome and Florence, we were wondering what additional wonders could possibly lie in front of us. The Cinque Terre held its own as yet another amazing place to visit. The hotel was yet another bright spot in our memories, although the 80 steps up to the hotel were a little tough on the first day when we were pulling our luggage around. It still had a magnificent view of the town and the sea. After surveying the 5 towns, it seemed like Monterosso was the perfect place to stay. It offered plenty of dining, a large beach, and easy access to the other towns via the train. We walked along portions of the park trails between the 5 towns. These were great, but got crowded later in the day. On our last day, we decided to take on one of the offbeat trails that did not go between one of the 5 towns. This was the 3 hour trail between Monterosso and Levanto. This turned out to be a tremendous choice. The first 45 minutes up the mountain was quite strenuous, but it was pretty much all down hill from there with stunning views of the Sea along the way. There were only a few people that we passed along the way making for a very peaceful and serene journey. On the other side in Levanto we were able to grab some lunch, and it turned out to be the best Pizza we had the entire trip. We found that changing your plans and trying the unexpected led to some much unexpected surprises in the end. The Cinque Terre was a real treat.

We capped off our trip with a visit to Venice, where once again, the hotel was nothing less than wonderful. Venice was such a unique city with all of the waterways and bridges. I characterize Venice as a very large outdoor mall. We really enjoyed shopping around for glass beads, necklaces and Venetian masks. We also enjoyed the classical music in San Marco after dark. It was a great finish to an outstanding trip.

The trip was magical and everything went smooth. My wife and I wish to thank you for all your efforts and the best trip we have had to date.

I have enclosed a handful of the 5000+ pictures we took. If you want to see more or hear more, just let me know.

Thanks again,

Mike and Heather Bean

Hi Kayla,

Yes! we had a great and unforgettable honeymoon. With your help, the entire trip went reasonably smooth. The prearranged transportation and hotel accommodations were well worth doing and it all went according to plan. Much thanks and appreciation to you for making that happen. Our honeymoon ended up being more enjoyable and memorable than we had originally anticipated.

Again, Liezl and I both feel extremely thankful for the coordination DE performed to make our honeymoon the best. We do hope that your company continues to do the same for others.

Sincerely,

Mr. and Mrs. Atencio

ps--I will send a couple of photos when they become available.

Kayla -

It was bellissimo!!!!!! Loved every minute, though we could have spent a whole lot more of them visiting such amazing places! The hotel in Rome was fantastico! Close to many attractions, well-appointed and very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the Hop-on, Hop-off bus options and took advantage of the guided tour to the Vatican and St. Peter's. Florence and Venice were just as nice.

I realize (and thank you much) for arranging our time to make the most of what we had, but was a bit disappointed with the lack of night life in Venice. Since we were in Rome Saturday evening but too tired to do much that night and there isn't much available on Sunday, and then not much in Venice on a Friday night, that would be my only down side. Nevertheless, we found plenty to keep us busy and well entertained.

Thank you again for the personal service and attention to detail. Having the transfers between hotels and trains/airports was an excellent expenditure and made everything go very smoothly. I would be more than happy to recommend your services to anyone traveling in Europe and will do so if the occasion arises.

Molto grazia! Riley & Josie

Kayla,

IT WAS AMAZING!!! Brian and I plan on writing you the best letter once we get caught up, and we will send you pictures too! It was so perfect, everything was great...and the little hotel hiccup, let me tell you. We went from a 4 star to a 5 star and stayed next to Kenny Rogers! I have told everyone about you, and I will never go to Europe again without going through you. Thank you so very much, and I will definitely write that letter and send you pictures in the next week. Thank you again!!!

Kayla,

Just got back home. It was a fun trip, and got to do many of the things I wanted to do. Next time I'll definitely spend more time with my friend - two days isn't a lot. I hope to make this a once yearly thing. Thanks so much for helping me arrange all this. Compared to last year it was a lot less stressful. Opposed to planning it all by myself and just hoping that I did everything right (then getting over there and losing my wallet!). Now I can't imagine planning a trip like this myself again. I like working with the same people consistently, so expect to hear from me next winter sometime Also, United's Economy Plus is awesome - thanks for the upgrade! Thank you again for all of your wonderful assistance!
