Destination Europe Travel Testimonials

Mrs. D. Childs, Plant City, FL

Kayla - The trip was fabulous!! Germany and Rome were both excellent destinations. Germany Oktoberfest was a huge beer party - with some of the best beer ever! And Munich is a gorgeous city! Italy was awesome - the Italian people were so warm, friendly and always eager to help. Rome was everything we had hoped it would be - we saw as much as we could pack in.

Your selection of hotels was excellent in both cities. Both were clean and comfortable and we would stay there again. All of the flights, cars and trains were timely! You did an excellent job in planning and we will use your services again and encourage others to also. Thank you for your help! Donna

Kayla,

In Denver on business at the moment, but will be happy to contribute photos and words to your site. I will have to say something great about your patience with me, and we had the best time! The guides/drivers in Paris were EXACTLY what I was looking for, and you delivered big time....even think I found my next car: turbo diesel Mercedes 350 (not sure I can go black, but it sure looked nice clean). Thanks again!

Mrs. J. Beck, Omaha, NE

Kayla,

The trip was absolutely splendid, notwithstanding the lost rail tickets! We were a bit surprised at the different level of customer service that is pervasive in Europe, but we became accustomed to it and realized our opinion stems from being business owners in the past with a commitment to customer service. If we had been made aware of the difference, we would have adjusted sooner we think!

It really was a trip of a lifetime. Larry especially enjoyed driving the Autobahn and when we entered Weidenbruck in the car GPS, it took us right to the family farm in Batenhorst! That is what we call one of God's miracles!

Everything you arranged for us came off without a hitch and we appreciate your attention to detail. Enjoy the blog if you have the time, and we'll get back to you soon.

Appreciatively,

Larry & Jo Beck

Hi Kayla,

Once again, we had an excellent trip, with relentlessly beautiful weather. One thing that makes everything go so smoothly are the transfers that you arrange. They are so helpful to have pre-arranged.

Another thing we really appreciate from your service is that the hotels are really situated well. We enjoyed every hotel experience. Particularly the hotel in Mykonos the Aeolos Hotel with the greatest host in our experience a guy named Panos deserves some sort of award. I will help with nominating him.

We travelled by plane, train, boat, car, taxi and ATV and the connections were sometimes tight but doable.

Sincerely,

Betty and Craig Weincek

Mrs. L. Nelson, Rockville, MD

Jon and I very much appreciate your attention to detail in arranging for our recent adventure in France. How many people can return from a holiday abroad without any anecdotes about travel problems? We found that the itinerary you prepared for us not only reflected our requests, but honored our preferences.

We found the guided tours very helpful, instructive and fun. We preferred the small tours to the bus trips as they afforded more opportunity to learn and interact with the guides.

We loved Chateau St. Martin and intend to make a return visit. The Hotel Luxemburg Park was well appointed with friendly staff. The Hotel Europe was quite nice as well with a very credible kitchen. Nice's Hotel Perouse was certainly well placed and we enjoyed a view of the Mediterranean while being in the Old City.

Thank you again, Kayla. Laurel Nelson

Mr. B. Palous, Ripon, CA

Kayla,

We would like to convey our thanks and appreciation for all of your effort in planning what turned out to be a truly memorable "first trip" to France and Italy. It most definitely met our wildest expectations and provided us with the opportunity to not only see the typical tourist attractions, but experience the "local flavor" of the countryside and local neighborhoods.

While planning the trip, we shared what we were looking for and you put together an itinerary that captured each and every one of our dreams and wishes. When a couple of glitches occurred during the trip, you personally ensured that each one was taken care of in a timely manner so that we could continue our "dream vacation." Your knowledge and experience in selecting the towns and hotels were most helpful.

Having had the chance to visit the small mountain town from which Bob's grandparents immigrated was truly an emotional experience. While this was a special request, you planned it as if you were the one who was traveling in search of your roots.

We can safely say that we could not have planned such a trip without the benefit of your own European travel experience and we have recommended Destination Europe to several of our friends. Trips are such individual choices and as such your and your company provided that service. Each time we had a change you got back to us in a timely manner. When we had questions, you had the answer or found the answer. This was especially helpful for first time visitor's to Europe.

We are both looking forward to working with you on our next European adventure.

My husband and I just returned from Greece for our honeymoon and the trip was amazing! We visited Athens, Mykonos, Delos and Santorini. Not only were all of the places unique and beautiful, but we were able to experience culture, history and architecture!

Thanks to Kayla and her amazing team, we didn't have to worry about anything - it was all pretty much planned out for us.

She had private cars pick us up from the airport and transfer us around Greece, which was so nice and convenient. We also had some ferry rides to the islands, which was a fun way to get around and see other islands on the way.

Kayla and her staff set up some wonderful tours as well. While in Athens and Mykonos we were able to see some ancient history, including the Acropolis, the brand new museum (across from it) and ancient ruins on the island of Delos. My husband loves history and architecture, so this was right up his alley.

One of our favorite and most memorable excursions though was our catamaran sunset cruise in Santorini. This was well worth every penny! We sailed around the Caldera, visiting different areas to swim, snorkeled and then were served a fabulous dinner of fresh seafood and Greek salad by the crew! We also got to swim in the hot springs, very cool! My husband and I had one of the best evenings of our lives and it was so romantic!

The hotels were all so well picked for us and our budget and very clean! The service was excellent at all of them as well, which is not always easy to come by. Most importantly, we felt safe in them too. The first hotel was a boutique style hotel in Athens, called O&B. It was very clean and modern, loved the decor and breakfast was delicious! The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful when we had questions. The Petasos beach resort in Mykonos was gorgeous and very modern as well, we loved being by the beach! The staff were so accommodating here, they even let us borrow and umbrella one night when it was raining, to go out to dinner. The Hotel Ira in Santorini was very classy and had breath taking views; we were upgraded to a honeymoon suite here, with private balcony! This was such a nice touch for our last island! They were also so eager to help and recommend restaurants and places to see!

Everything was very organized; we had a folder of all our travel documents, maps, a schedule and vouchers for the boat rides, car transfers and hotel. This was really great, because we didn't have to worry about or keep track ourselves of everything, all we had to do was simply look at our schedule to find out what the next day brought! Of course in the midst of all the tours and transfers we also had some much needed down time as well. It was a really well balanced and thoroughly thought out trip, we had plenty of activities to do and also had time to explore on our own!

We are so lucky to have traveled to so many beautiful places for our Honeymoon and are thrilled that we went through Destination Europe. We would have never known where to stay or what tour companies to go through on our own. Our minds were eased and we were able to truly enjoy this special trip more because Kayla and her team did all the work for us.

I would highly recommend going though this company for anyone going to Europe for their first time especially, as well as well seasoned travelers. Their expertise and thoughtful planning made our trip not only easy and less intimidating, but full of wonderful memories and marvelous photos! This is what a Honeymoon should be, thank you so much!!!

Just a final word of appreciation for the fine planning you provided for our Spain trip. This was our first Europe trip of not doing all the scheduling ourselves. It was great to have someone make all the reservations and accommodations, avoiding the time consuming task of researching.

Everything was as expected, the hotels were very nice for the budget we had specified, and we were especially pleased with the convenient location to the sites we were interested in. The transportation/reservations were flawless.

The small, arranged tours were very good, especially the guide in Barcelona.

Madrid: the palace, winding narrow busy streets, the plazas, the many galleries/museums, the friendly people.

Seville: beautiful city, large cathedral, and Palace, river front restaurant's.

Cordoba: historical city, the Mosque, and more.

Granada: The Alhambra palace/fortress, the Arab shopping streets, the quaint hillside homes.

Barcelona: The Gaudi architecture throughout the city, the Marketplace, again the cathedral, the Mediterranean port, and just walking on the beautiful mall-like streets and squares with the people,, and, oh yes, the Tapa Bars.

And so much more,,,

Thank you again, Kayla for a great trip.

Kayla,

We had a wonderful time on our trip and much of it had to do with the people we met including many of the hotel staff our drivers and the great guides we had in Florence and Rome.

Antonella was our guide in Florence and she was terrific. Our tour of the city was great as she provided a lot of historical information along with interesting insights as a native of Florence. She has a university degree in art history and put it to good use in our tour of the Accademia.

Our guide both days in Rome was Francesca, who has a degree in archeology. She was a really nice young lady with a lot of enthusiasm for Rome and its history. Her experience working as an archeologist seemed to give her a great appreciation for the ruins we saw during our tour of Ancient Rome. Our two days with her were really interesting and informative. We can't pay high enough compliments to both these women, who made our visits to their cities so much more interesting than they would have been otherwise.

Our hotels in Florence, Sinalunga and Rome were all great. Palazzo Vecchietti was really beautifully appointed and the location was great. Locanda dell'Amorosa was very nice and the setting was special. The hotel was very convenient for our visits to Montepulciano, Montalcino and Pienza, but not really convenient to Siena or San Gimignano. We spent a lot of time on the Autostrada getting to and from both those places. The Amorosa had a wonderful restaurant, which was good since the location made eating elsewhere inconvenient. The Albergo del Sonata in Rome was very nice and in a great location. We were able to walk everywhere because of its location. We had a room with a great view of the Pantheon, which unfortunately had scaffolding around it as it must be getting a cleaning. We would gladly stay at any of these hotels and can't say enough nice things about the staffs of all three of these hotels

We had a wonderful trip and will have very fond memories of Italy, particularly Florence and Rome and the wonderful guides who shared their cities with us.

Thank you, Kayla, for the wonderful itinerary you set up for us during our 22-day stay in Italy. Every place and activity was perfect for what we wanted to see and do. And it helped immensely that the weather was sunny and warm except for the one day we traveled by train to Venice.

Going to Lake Como first was a stunning start to our trip. Our lodging, food, and assistance of the hosts were excellent. Venice, the most unique city in the world, was warm, sunny, and tempting, especially when it comes to purchasing Murano glass. After all the sightseeing in the north, the restfulness of the Tuscan Agriturismo was made-to-order for us. The hostess and host were delightful, the breakfasts tasty (especially the scrambled eggs), and the rooms cozy. These five days were fabulous.

Our time in the Amalfi Coast was great, especially the one full day of having a professional driver who could keep us safe on the narrow cantilevered road, give us the history of the area and take us to Ravello, the most quietly beautiful mountain town with fabulous views of the sea. Although you couldn't get us the room we had in Sorrento for our honeymoon a couple of years ago, we were very pleased with the alternative room that gave us a balcony and a gigantic view of the Bay of Naples.

And finally there's Rome. Our family-owned hotel was in a perfect location for us. They helped us get bicycles to ride through Rome and the Appian Way on Sunday, the day that they close off main thoroughfares for cars and motorbikes so that walkers, runners, and bikers can meander safely around the antiquities. The restaurant on the Appian Way that you recommended and reserved for us that Sunday night was romantic in ambience, had excellent food and a gregarious owner, all in a building that is centuries old. It was marvelous.

Your recommendation that we have professional drivers at almost each location was a blessing. Whether driving us from our remote location to the train station or from the train to another remote area, or a full day of sight-seeing, all five were professional and interesting.

Thank you, Kayla, for making our Italy trip active, yet comfortable. It stands out as one of our best trips ever.

Hello Kayla,

The trip you planned for us was wonderful and amazing! The planning on your part was so great! Everything worked out perfectly! It was so great to have someone meeting us at the airport and ensure we got to the hotel after the long flights! Venice simply beautiful. Florence was amazing with all the art at every turn. And Rome was breathtaking, history in the middle of a bustling modern city.

The tours we made were great as well! The boat ride on the Grand Canal in the early evening into sunset was so relaxing and enjoyable. The museum tours in Florence were unbelievable, walking among some of world's most precious art works was awe inspiring! The wine tour was amazing and so enjoyable with Mauricio through the Chianti region was so fun. The wineries were great and the guided tours were very personable. The tour with Francesca for the Vatican and Ancient Rome was amazing, our own personal tour guide! And she ensured we had a very relaxing lunch as well in the middle of our day.

Your patience and flawless planning help make our 20th anniversary unforgettable! When we decide where we will going next we will definitely choose you and your company.

Thank You Very Much,

Hi Kayla,

Bruce and I want to thank you so much for arranging such a wonderful trip. It was a perfect vacation and everything went very smoothly. We loved the hotels and the tour guides/ drivers were prompt, friendly and professional. We really enjoyed the musical, Billy Elliot.

You should tell your clients how easy and nice the Tube (subway) is to use in London. We had our Paris hotel arrange a dinner cruise on the Seine one night that we enjoyed very much. We would not change a thing - unless you could arrange Big 10 TV coverage in order to get Ohio State football games. Only kidding! Thanks again and you can be sure that we will recommend your services to all our family and friends.

Kayla -

Our family trip to Europe was amazing. Thanks to you, our vacation was a memorable one. Down to the welcome home email, I was impressed how you took care of every last detail. Your organization of the itineraries, vouchers, transfers, and maps along with your coordination of all the details made our trip go smoothly. We particularly enjoyed the mix of free-time and tours. All of the tours consisted of small groups and were professionally done with tour guides who were personable and knowledgeable. Great planning on your part.

Rome -

The hotel was great with easy access to the metro. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They made us feel so welcomed. We were even there for a wine and cheese appreciation social where we were able to socialize with staff members and other guests. Our two hotel rooms were great. Before we visited Rome, I heard stories about how small hotel rooms would be in Europe. To my surprise, the rooms were totally different than I had imagined. In addition, the Coliseum and the Vatican tours were excellent which definitely made it for a worthwhile experience. Our hotel was across the street from a park, which made it for a nice place to picnic.

Venice -

We thoroughly enjoyed our Bed and Breakfast Hotel. Since the weather was perfect, opening the windows and overlooking the canals made for a perfect atmosphere. Although we spent a good part of our time being lost in the mazes of Venice, we really enjoyed our stay. Venice is such a quaint place with all of its canals, bridges, boats, and gondolas. The lady on duty in the late evening/early morning was wonderful. She made us feel so welcomed. Since she knew we were leaving very early one morning, she prepared breakfast earlier just for us. She definitely went out of her way to make us feel special.

Paris -

What an amazing city! When we got to the Eiffel Tower, Seine River Cruise, Notre Dame Cathedral, and other attractions, Paris was amazing. Since we are from New Orleans, the architecture in some of the neighborhoods reminded us of the French Quarter.

London -

Our hotel in London was beautiful. The neighborhood was extremely nice and charming. The hotel even upgraded one of our hotel rooms, which added a nice touch. Since we were in London for a short time, we certainly got to see the major highlights with the tour you arranged.

As a family, we certainly made memories that will last a lifetime. What an unbelievable experience! Thanks again for everything. I cannot say enough about how wonderful our trip was. Being that this was our first experience in Europe and I was a bit nervous and anxious about all of the travel accommodations and details, you certainly demonstrated your expertise in arranging the perfect trip. You did an awesome job! I certainly will recommend Destination Europe with 100% confidence to friends and family.

Thanks again!

Hi Kayla,

Thanks for checking back with us, and sorry for the late response; need to check up on work due to the off time from wedding/honeymoon. The Honeymoon was excellent and your planning/arrangements were great!

We had a wonderful time (though a lot of walking because everything was so grand). We loved the hotels that you have chosen in terms of their style/comfort/location. Their front desk service was resourceful and friendly (can't say that for some Parisians that we've dealt with). The activities were fun and eye-opening, although we would probably do less next time to free up the schedule for a more relaxing trip. Overall, it was very enjoyable.

Thank You,

Denny/Evangeline

Well, its almost been a week since we got back, we are about back to normal. Needless to say we had a great experience during our maiden trip to Europe and even getting pick pocketed, although inconvenient and stressful, it was but a blip on the radar. With that said here is a summary of what we saw as the pluses and minuses of the trip.

In regards to lodging, for the most part they were very comfortable family owned hotels that demonstrated many of the qualities that one would see in a bed and breakfast. Extra kudos to the Hotel Golden. Hotel Foch and the Venice Hotel. The Golden staff was so embarrassed that we got my wallet stolen, they couldn't do enough to make us enjoy our Rome visit. The Venice staff even had breakfast at 04:00 on the day we left for home and the Foch staff set the positive tone for the whole trip.

Driving through France was an exceptional part of the trip. However, your clients may be surprised by the charges and taxes for renting one way. Because of the high tax rate, the total was over 300 Euro. I would also highly recommend that travelers bring a Garmin. While the car had a GPS, all of the instructions were in French. We were also able to use it while walking.

You put together a great trip and we were well informed because of the materials that you provided us. We both look forward to working with you when planning our next trip. Great Britain and Australia/NZ are going to be scheduled during the next three to five years. Again, thanks for all of your hard work and patience as we planned our trip during the past year or so.

Bob and Teresa.

Hi Kayla,

I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful trip to Greece! You made the trip so easy for us, with all your planning. We carried our folder, with all your instructions faithfully. You really made it a carefree vacation.

The hotels, the excursions, the transportation were exceptional. Our favorite was Mykonos Island, the people at the hotel were so wonderful, friendly and felt like Family. We really enjoyed watching the fishermen carry in the sword fish on their shoulders. Right thru the restaurant!

We are going to plan our return soon. We wouldn't have anyone but you handle the preparations.

Thanks again.

Love,

Dear Kayla:

Thank you for all you did to make our trip to London and Paris the best ever. It was great to have an expert do the hard work of scheduling and booking and at the same time enjoy the freedom of navigating and exploring two great cities on our own.

It was especially helpful to have you plan our two day trips - to the Lake District in England and Giverny in France. They were the highlights of the trip and we simply wouldn't have known how to do those on our own.

However, the greatest service you rendered was that when we did have a problem with our hotel in Paris, you resolved it within an hour of our phone call. Not only did you fix the problem, but the new hotel was a delight. We were amazed and pleased. It is for this reason more than any other, that I would recommend Destination Europe above all other travel agencies.

God bless you and thank you again.

Hi Kayla,

Thank you again for another wonderfully planned trip! I wanted you to know that I had a fantastic time in Germany, and Switzerland. My guide in Switzerland was great. His name was Kurt although I'm not sure if that is how he spelled his name. Right away, he handed me a gift bag full of information and things from Switzerland. He also gave me two boxes of chocolates.

When we went to a cheese making factory, he bought me cheese. He even helped me pick out souvenirs for friends and family. I learned a lot about Switzerland, too. We decided to do this again next year. He wants to take me to the "high mountains" next time which I could see from a very far distance and only from the top of another mountain.

Looking forward to planning my next trip with you soon!

Kind regards,

Joseph Falsone

Kayla,

The trip was fantastic! We loved Lake Como and Hotel La Darsena. The proprietors were really friendly and the accommodations were perfect. The food at La Darsena was some of the best we had on the whole trip as well. Cinque Terre was beautiful.

We loved all of the villages and were glad that we stayed at Monterosso because of the beach. Yet, our favorite village was Vernazza?clean, quaint and great restaurants. The hike through the five villages was spectacular and challenging at times but we paced ourselves and stopped for lunch at Vernazza. I would recommend skipping the last two (Maggiore and Manarola) and starting at Corniglia. From Corniglia to Monterosso was clearly the most scenic.

The flights, trains and car transfers were flawless. We had the emergency exit seats on the way back which was nice due to the legroom.

Anyway, good job. I have already recommended you all to friends.

Mrs. M. Morris, Nanuet, NY

Hi Kayla,

We're finally dropping you a note to let you know what a fantastic time we all had on our Netherlands trip (and Brugges & Brussels too!). Since five of 6 of us are together in Ocean City, NJ enjoying the beach we thought we'd drop you a note together. It was a perfect itinerary, with a great combination of planned side tours and free time. The tours gave us the cultural & historical background, and in our free time we explored Delft, Haarlem, museums, flea markets, local restaurants and bakeries. We did get to rent & ride bikes in Haarlem and rode to the beach in Zandvoort which was loads of fun! We all enjoyed eating the fabulous chocolates & loved the different cheeses too!

Thanks for the collaboration in planning and ensuring our itinerary included everything on our wish list. Everything was perfectly timed & perfectly organized. Mary Ellen

Hi Kayla

Our trip was fabulous and everything went great! All of our transfers, drivers, etc... were amazing!! Our accommodations were fabulous. We really loved our guide Brian in London. He was such a brilliant, knowledgeable person. Very warm! Our driver to Oxford was excellent too and Paul on our city tour was nice. We look forward to working with on you again on our next trip!

Thanks,

Carrie

Mrs. N. Freeman, Lincoln, RI

Hi Kayla,

We returned last week and have acclimated back to this time zone and work etc. The trip was excellent, particularly since all the kids came this time. All the transfers, pick-ups etc. went perfectly - no issues at all.

Athens was an okay city; however, we were predominantly interested in the ruins - and that was awesome; seeing these incredible structures right in front of you was great. The hotel was very well situated and we liked. I recommend the archeology museum which was amazing. Though we don't tend to like group tours the Delphi trip was fun, and slightly cooler than Athens that day, which was >100 degrees.

We loved the boat ride to Santorini, and the island was like out of a movie - just perfect and beautiful. The hotel there was wonderful - unique, high up in the town, small, intimate - and the staff very warm and helpful and fun. We loved the volcano hike and swimming in the ?hot spring?. We rented quads (mopeds with 4 wheels) and rode up to the ruins on the island, and to the beach, and went parasailing - great vacation fun. Lots of shopping and good food and donkey riding.

I think overall Istanbul was my favorite- different, more exotic. The Turkish food was awesome. The hotel was really super modern and beautiful. The first night they recommended a restaurant that turned out to be a blast - the chef, a young woman, came out and decided to prepare a little of everything for us to try out, and explained everything - it was so good. Our guide was superb. Since it was so difficult for 6 people to get around the city (the city is immense) we extended the 2 half day tours to full days (with the guide and air conditioned van) and got to see everything we wanted with expert information.

The only thing we would have like to have done is spent more time at the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Market, both of which were so much fun. We brought back lots of spices and well packaged dates and figs. The worst part of the trip was the heat - well over 90 almost every day and very humid - we were constantly drenched; swimming in Santorini and in their pool was really nice. We are thinking about another Turkey trip - but the rest of the country. And we are thinking about Morocco and Madrid in the next few years. We'll be in touch for that. Thanks for everything.

Dear Kayla,

Thank you again for your help with arranging our second trip to Italy for my older daughter and me. While things are still fresh in my mind, let me give you some feedback.

As before, the people who helped us in the transfers were lovely and helpful.

Fulvia Spessa, our guide in Rome, was fabulous. So very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, she was a joy. Four hours was long and we were dragging a little by the end of the third one, but she used every minute to share stories about Rome, not only from the past, but what school she attended and which church she was baptized in. She also gave us good ideas for what to do next time we visit.

The drivers, Max and Mauritio were great. We had Max for three of our days including the drive to Pompeii - he was quiet with Fulvia because she had very definite ideas about where to go and how, but he blossomed on the trip to Pompeii telling stories and making jokes. Mauritio was wonderful the one day he was with us.... the day we went out the Appian Way to the Catacombs, not unusual but then we went out a little further and back in to an old villa which we might not have seen was he not willing to bend a few driving rules. We were very grateful. Best on Roman streets and Amalfi winding roads to have drivers you can trust.

Dark tour of Vatican Museums was excellent again, and because it wasn't Holy Week, we were able to visit twice as much, so I got to see many things I didn't the first time. The guide was another woman and again, fabulous.

The trip to Pompei was great! We had a short stop in Amalfi, enough time to buy some gifts, and also for us to get a gelato. The stop for lunch in Positano was also lovely, a little longer. We were with 2 Australians and 3 Canadians who were all very nice. The guide in Pompei was WONDERFUL! Guitano was also extremely knowledgeable. Guitano had a group of 11 and spent 75% of his time talking about how the people lived in their houses, how the shops worked, marveling at the construction of the streets and the water pipes and drawing parallels to modern cities and ways of life. He was clearly passionate about Pompei but also a philosopher.

The hotel in Rome, Albergo del Senato, was perfect. The staff was gracious and welcoming, the location was perfect, and surprisingly it was amazingly quiet because of thick walls, good windows, and high quality curtains. The breakfast was delicious in a pleasant room on the main floor. There was WiFi and a nice place for an afternoon drink on the roof.

Train went well, pick up was smooth. We arrived at Palazzo Abadessa and were happily shown to a beautiful room facing the garden which my daughter fell in love with instantly. We had a little tea to refresh ourselves and then off we went. Breakfast was again lovely and the host, Darwin, helpful in setting up a reservation at the wonderful restaurant I enjoyed in March, Osteria Orto dei Mori.

A little rain on Friday morning didn't dampen our spirits and it cleared by the afternoon for a lovely rest of the day. We tried to have lunch at a place in the ghetto from one of the Inspector Brunetti mystery books but they were still on vacation so we lucked onto another small place nearby with good minestrone soup and delicious thin crust pizza. That night, we decided to become true tourists and sat in the Piazza San Marco drinking espresso and listening to the music.

We did get to the Correr Museum and the Doge's Palace, but missed the Basilica again!

The Christmas break thing never worked out so the next plan here is a honeymoon in and around Lake Como... I will contact you when we have dates!

Thanks again,

Christina

Kayla,

What a great trip you helped me plan: a once in a life time experience for Cara and me. I'll take credit for the destinations, Rome, Venice, Munich and finally Paris. You took my plan and made it a reality. We had a great flight schedule and then we were met by a private car, a Mercedes no less, and quickly delivered to Hotel Raffaello. It was too early to check in, but we were greeted warmly and we went on a little walking tour of the area. When we got back, our bags were in the room with a balcony.

The tour of the Vatican with a small group has to be one of the major highlights, though the hop-on-hop off bus was a great addition and we used it so much we added a third day when we booked our Tiber River cruise. Rome is the eternal city and we loved every minute of it. Next, we hopped our train to Venice and the station (in Rome) was so close we could have walked except for the bags. The train was a great way to see the country side and when we got off in Venice our hotel was so close we actually walked right by the street before we even started looking. The Hotel Abbazia was a work of art all on its own. The staff was friendly and helpful. Venice is too beautiful to try and describe, the walking tour, the Grand Canal and above all Saint Marks Square took our breath away. All too soon it was time to board the train to Munich and this time we did just walk to the station.

The train trip through the Alps by way of Innsbruck, Austria was stunning to see. Unfortunately, the air conditioning on the train went on the fritz and only worked intermittently. The little challenge added to the charm, as we met beautiful people from all over, and one Italian grad student on her way to Germany to study actually gave Cara a fan. The views on the sunny day far outweighed any discomfort.

The Hotel Laimer Hof in Munich was very quaint and located in a beautiful residential district very close to the Nymphenburg Castle and had good restaurants and the Hirshgarten Beer Garden located in walking distance. The old city and the local castle were great sightseeing adventures without leaving the local bus service area. We also toured the castles of Mad King Ludwig located in the Bavarian Alps. A long day on the bus and a lot of hiking up the mountain for Neuschwanstein castle but what a view! The three days in Munich were filled with inspiring views and wonderfully helpful people.

Next, the train to Paris (where we had spent a week four years ago but it was not enough time) so, we ended our great adventure there by getting to places on our list like D'Orsay Museum and the Pantheon that we had missed before. Our connection home was good and it was great to have the private car pick us up and take us to the airport. We loved the whole trip and we appreciate the professional help of Destination Europe in helping us make this dream come true.

Kayla,

Once again, we thank you for such an interesting, eye-opening, rigorous summer vacation! Granted, this is the trip we were supposed to take last year (delayed by unforeseeable events), but the upside is that we were able to tweak the itinerary, add another day, and actually meet up with friends in Poland.

Our trip ran the gamut from the fluff of Vlad the Impaler's castle in Romania to the sobering Nazi camps in Auschwitz. We had good hiking in each country, beautiful rooms with views (you know I love my balconies!), historical city tours that were short and informative, and the day guides we had for Romania, and Cesky Krumlov in Czech Republic, were accommodating and knowledgeable about the evolution of their countries from Communism to Capitalism.

1.Romania was the least touristy country we have ever visited and yet once out of the city of Bucharest, one of the most beautiful. It was hard to find any souvenirs at all because outside of the "Dracula" Castle, there are none. The countryside was charming, with sheep and herders on the road and old fashioned haystacks in small low hung cottages. We really enjoyed hearing the history of conflict with Hungary, especially after we got to Hungary and heard the other side of the border dispute and who really is entitled to Transylvania. I always buy a football (soccer) jersey from each country I visit for my younger son and we had the hardest time finding one in Bucharest. It became a major quest. The Tempo Hotel was small, engaging, and breakfast was made to order.

2. Slovenia ? the world's best kept secret. We both found this to be our favorite country but maybe because there is a hike around every corner. The country is eye-candy. Our hotel view in Lake Bled could not have been better ? views of the castle, the church, the lake, hot-air ballooning, and scullers. We tried to find one piece of trash when we hiked the gorge, the 5 miles back to town, and the 3 miles around the lake. There were children, adults, and teenagers everywhere, and yet we never saw a piece of litter. We had the rental car in Bled and were able to drive to other hikes and still no trash. Wish it was a mindset we had here.

3.Ljubljana ? unfortunately, we weren't here long enough, but I'm so glad you recommended at least a night there. The Slamic hotel was darling! Cute room, rooftop breakfast, and the nicest, helpful staff. The day was extremely hot and people were wilting, but since we're from Houston, we felt right at home!

4. Budapest, Hungary ? what a surprise! The best hotel we stayed in if you put together accommodating concierge, breakfast convenience, Internet accessibility, and proximity to town. The best meal I've ever had abroad was around the corner from our hotel and it was so good (Hungarian goulash) that I had it twice and Jan had to have it the second night because it was so good! Thank you for the history tour ? it was short but informative. Hungary seems to still be evolving from its recent political changes and our guide was more than happy to discuss its politics. I wish we had time to visit the Baths but our time was up and we had to make choices. Our transfer was before breakfast was to open and the concierge, without our asking, suggested that we go down and get something to eat because some of the items would probably be set out already.

5. Zakopane, Poland ? again, what a beautiful country! We started in Zakopane, which is a Polish resort, and met up with friends there. We did a 9K hike up to Lake Moreski (?) and were the only people who spoke English. It was so interesting to watch people, especially little children, turn around to stare at us when they heard us talking. Zakopane may be a resort town but mainly for Poles. Not many Americans at all.

6. Krakow ? Krakow is a college town, with many colleges/universities, so English was more prevalent. The Hotel Columbus was true to form with great service and good breakfasts. Our trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau was an experience I think every person on the planet should have. The respectful way they run tours and give information stops the experience from being cheapened. There is no need to tell people to be quiet because it's a inner-personal, somber tour that leaves each person contemplating how those events evolved into such a recent part of our history.

7. Prague ? Czech Republic ? our last stop and our best location! Two minutes from the Astronomical Clock, and just a few minutes more to the Charles Bridge and other historical areas. We could not have had a better room ? it was everything we expected and more.

My biggest concern this year was our air connections because we had such a tight schedule. I should not have wasted the angst! With ten/eleven flights this year, all went off without a hitch.

Not sure where our trip will lead us next year, but we will be contacting you as soon as we have a skeleton idea. What I love about working with you is that we customize our trip and then you tweak it with suggestions and logistics.

You are the best!!!

Mr. R. Gangi, Tewksbury, MA

Hi Kayla,

We had a blast. Rome was great for the sights(Colosseum, Trevi, the Vatican in particular was amazing) but we fell in love with Florence. The city and the hotel both. I think we're just not big city people. We loved the prettier, quieter atmosphere.

The staff at Hotel David was just amazing in every way. Very helpful and friendly at all times. Hotel David was awesome. The room was great, the shower was huge, and they even offered free internet access and up to 10 min. of phone calls from the desk per day. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Just great.

On the last night of our trip, one of the owners even took us out for a ride in the Ape Colessimo(sp?). Spent about an hr driving us up into the hills and just chatting about the city, etc. He also let me take a bottle of wine, which I appreciated.

Thanks again for everything, Kayla. We truly had an unforgettable honeymoon.

Rich

P.S. The Chianti tour was awesome as well. I ordered a case of assorted wines/olive oil. Loved it.

Mr. N. Weinburg-Lynn, Lawndale, CA

Hi Kayla!

We have returned to the States (and to work for me...) after an amazing Honeymoon in Europe! Thanks so much for all you did to make our adventure a true success! The entire trip went really smoothly and having everything planned out meticulously ahead of time went a long way to allowing us to relax and enjoy Greece and Italy!

Having a car waiting for us at the Rome airport was a key to getting the jet lagged and tired us to the hotel as quickly as possible! The two tours in Rome (Coliseum and the Vatican) were amazing! Truly the Rome highlights for us, the tour guides were both fantastic - really knowledgeable and engaging! The Hotel Golden was perfectly situated for our stay and the family couldn't have been nicer. Jen and I also had an amazing at romantic meal (one of the very best of my life) at La Pergola at the Hotel Cavalieri. The first class train was a great way to get between Rome and Florence!

We both LOVED Florence! Hotel Casa del Garbo was in an ideal location and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The Evening Walking Tour of Florence was quite a hit and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence (and you have to love a tour that concludes for some wine, olive oil, and balsamic tasting!) The tour of Chianti was an ideal intro to the Tuscan wine region with a visit to a beautiful winery and some free time in Grieve. The cooking class was a true highlight both of Florence and the entire trip! What a meal and the folks were very nice as well! For anyone visiting in the future, we highly recommend the Pitti Gola e Cantina wine bar and restaurant - exceptional food, service, and wines (we shipped several home!)

Our stay in Santorini was as relaxing as it was scenic! The Villa Ilias hotel was in a great location (right above Fira) with the most remarkable views of the city, volcano, and sunset from our balcony (we had the room with the best view!) The tour of the volcano and hot springs included a great hike to the top of the volcano and a relaxing swim in the sulfur springs! Jen and I also toured the beaches in Perissa, visited Boutari Winery, and took a sunset catamaran cruise! The food in Santorini was spectacular with several great options right near the hotel in Firastefani!

Thanks again and I hope we can work together for another fantastic adventure in the future!

Dear Kayla,

Originally, we had planned to book our European vacation ourselves. We are extremely happy that we decided to leave it up to the experts...you and your staff! After doing much research ourselves, we told you exactly everything we wanted and you did a great job of meeting our expectations.

The hotels you booked for us in Paris, Interlaken, Lucerne, Salzburg, Vienna, Venice, and Rome were more than we could have asked for with our budget. Our favorites were the hotel in Interlaken for its outstanding hospitality and the hotel in Salzburg for its incredible amenities. Our hotel in Lucerne was a bit further out of the city center than we would have liked, but there was a bus stop right outside. We did appreciate the fact that most of our hotels were within walking distance from the train station.

Thank you for booking all of our train and plane tickets in advance. This especially took away most of the stress and worries we had about traveling to Europe. Having the private car transfer to and from the airports was a nice perk.

The sightseeing tours you booked for us were great! The detailed itinerary you provided also made us feel at ease during our travels. There were a couple of tour guides we will never forget and will be asking for them by name the next time we visit. The use of the vouchers made everything simple. Knowing that everything was prepaid was another stress reliever. Thankfully, we did not have to use the travel insurance you provided, but we sure were glad we had it.

We learned a lot on our first trip together to Europe. We will be sure to let you know what adventures we would like on our next vacation to Europe. We would be thrilled to let you plan our next trip for us. I highly recommend your services to all travelers, whether seasoned or not. Kayla, thanks for everything!

Sincerely,

Joel and Annah

Hi Kayla,

We can't thank you enough for the trip of a lifetime! Our Honeymoon to Switzerland was beyond amazing and we know that a lot of that had to do with all of the hard work and planning that you and your team did for our trip!

We had a very nice stay in Zurich and the excursion tour that you planned for us was perfect!!! Then we were off to Interlaken--- WOW!!! The hotel Belevue was amazing and we stayed in the honeymoon suite which was overlooking the river and the mountains. We were amazed by Interlaken! It was a perfect location and we did our own excursion one day (paragliding) and then went to the top of Europe! Our tour guide was wonderful and the trip up to the top and around was unforgettable!

Our last leg of the trip was to Lucerne. Again, the hotel was wonderful! Hotel des alpes was also in the perfect location and our room overlooked the river and city of Lucerne! The people at the hotel were so wonderful and even spoiled us with celebratory champagne! The excursions again were fantastic! We went to Mount Titlus where we got to see glaciers and ride on a chair lift to Mount Pilatus, hikers heaven! It was a perfect mix of time to ourselves and things to do! We didn't want to leave! When we go back we will be contacting you again!

I will email you later with a few pictures!!!

We can't thank you enough for the perfect honeymoon!

Much thanks!

Hi Kayla!

Everything was PERFECT!!! Everyone showed up on time - the private tours were amazing (i kept waiting for others to show up before I realized that it was just for us!). The places where we stayed were wonderful. The owners were fabulous.

I am still really jet lagged and trying to catch up on everything - but I will definitely send you photos and fill you in. I bought a reversible leather 3/4 length swing coat - leather on one side and suede on the other! You have to let people know about Anna's in Florence across from the Pitti Palace. My sister told me about it. She is making me the coat because they do not have my size! No shipping either. She is the designer - cute older lady and the place is fabulous. Notice how I am not too jet lagged to talk about shopping!!!

Thank you for making my dream come true. You are an amazing person and your company is fantastic. All the reviews I read are spot on.

Ciao.

Heidi

Hi Kayla!! Thank you for the welcome! Everything went fantastically well on our honeymoon. The hotels were perfect. The locations were great, they were very quaint, and most of all they were so extremely friendly. Susan at the Kildonan apologized to us that she did not have a room to upgrade us too and sent champagne to our room. In Paris the manager Moun was so nice and helpful and also sent us champagne. The family who runs the Allesandra in Florence were also wonderful.

We had such a wonderful trip and your service really made that possible. Your hotel recommendations were perfect and your help with the trains and the train tickets saved us so much time and anxeity I can't being to thank you enough. We saw some amazing parts of the world and will have many wonderful memories for the rest of our lives. We will certainly tell all of our friends and family about your service and if we can provide you with any kind of reference please let me know. I will do so in a heartbeat!

Attached are a couple of pictures from Edinburgh, Paris, and Florence.

Thank you again Kayla!!

Mrs. C. Bergman, Warner Springs, CA

Yes, Kayla ? the trip was great! The accommodations, especially, were just what we wanted ? small, conveniently located, attractive, family run hotels ? and where it counted, they had air conditioning ? and all had free wi-fi!

I especially liked the package of tickets and vouchers that you sent us. I usually make myself a package with all of the documents, etc. in it, but this time, there was no need because you had organized us extremely well.

I was hesitant to use an online travel agent, but I would use you again in a moment and would recommend you to others who might ask. I am also willing for my name and email to be given to anyone who has questions.

It was a great trip and we met nice people and laughed a lot and learned a lot ?( The Passion Play at Oberammergau, around which our trip was built, was spectacular and should be on everyone's "bucket list" )

Thanks again,

Coral

Kayla,

We made it home fine and had a wonderful time thanks to you.

Thanks to you and your staff we had a wonderful trip retracing my Dad's steps of WW II. From the London car tour, through all the miles we drove and especially the Rhine cruise, we had a fine time.

I have already recommended your services to our friends. We will be looking forward to using you again for our next vacation.

Thanks,

Hi Kayla,

Thanks for your email. Everything went great!!!! The itinerary was fantastic and we were so pleased with how seamless everything went. We actually met a couple that also went through Destination Europe that was staying at the same hotel as us and had our same wedding day!

We can send pictures your way once we upload :)

Everything was great, and you did an awesome job! Thanks so much!

Hey Kayla,

It was a great trip. We especially enjoyed the small hotels you chose for us. Each felt unique and special, and everyone on staff was very helpful as well.

London was unexpectedly enjoyable. They've done a wonderful job cleaning up the city since I had been there long ago.

Bruges was beautiful, of course, and the Hotel Estherea in Bruges was our favorite.

From Amsterdam, the town of Leiden is a fantastic and easy day trip. It's only about half an hour by (frequent) train, and it's a wonderful, laid back pedestrian town. We walked all around it, did a lot of shopping and eating and drinking, and we considered that day to be the highlight. We only visited it because I had studied it in college, but it was a revelation. We'll definitely find a way to return.

It was my family's first trip to Europe, and since it's been almost 20 years for me it felt like my first trip as well. I'll provide a few lessons learned in case you encounter any other first time travelers as well.

We packed lightly, but I think I'd go back after I thought we were packed and remove about 4 or five items again. June was chilly. Replace the shorts and t shirts with a couple of reliable sweaters or sweatshirts. Bring a suitcase you won't mind lugging through stations and trying to find room for on the train, if that's part of the itinerary. We did okay, but we could have done better.

We took advantage of the "hop on-hop off" bus and river barge tour of London the first day. It was a great way to break in and get a sense of what you want to go back and see in more depth. We also did a very nice van tour and Seine dinner cruise in Paris (which was actually one of the better meals we had).

Our 10 year old son had a blast, and we didn't try to specifically make the trip "kid friendly" or anything. But there are enough cool things to see that he enjoyed himself quite a bit. His highlights were the Imperial War Museum (in London, which has a lot of cool tanks and uniforms and stuff) the London Eye and the Tower of London. He enjoyed Paris and Bruges and Amsterdam and Leiden as well, but I think he liked London the best.

As far as feedback goes, your service was great and we'd definitely use you again. Again, we thoroughly appreciated your work and you put together a fabulous experience for us that we'll always remember.

Thanks again!

Next time, Italy or Spain. Hopefully it'll be warmer.

Hi Kayla,

We had a wonderful trip, thanks so much. Your help in booking hotels, car, train and tours was invaluable. What a difference from trying to do all this ourselves.

The hotels were very nice. We visited Carpentras market (the oldest market "they say" in France) Arles & Cassis. Wonderful experience!

Paris, of course, was marvelous and exhausting. Nice central location for our hotel, enjoyed the bus tour very much.

Thanks again ...we would not hesitate to recommend your company and also to use it again in the future.

Germaine

Mr. W. Papineau, Phoenix, AZ

Hey Kayla,

We are almost over the effects of jet-lag and still grinning from our very happy time following your itinerary.

Here's a quick summary for you:

American Airlines got us to Heathrow without incident and our driver was ready as planned. The Darlington in London is a nice hotel in all aspects and in a very good location for access to all the sights and attractions.

Billy Elliott at the Victoria Palace was a delight and the seats were PERFECT.

Virgin Rail transport to Manchester was quick and easy. We had no problems getting a cab to National car rental. They had a Peugeot ready for us and we had no problems with the paperwork. You were absolutely correct in saying that it wouldn't take long to adjust to driving on the left. I was fine with it after a few miles, though I can't say that I ever reached the point of being able to relax with it. We hope to go back to Wales at some point and the next time I want to find something like a Mini to drive. The Peugeot is a great car, but the roads in Wales are not even a full lane wide in many places (at one point, we drove nine miles on a road so narrow we were being brushed by leaves on both sides of the car! If we had met someone coming the other way, we would still be there I think :) . I should note that I brought my GPS to use in Wales and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone driving for the first time in the UK. It reduces the stress of dealing with unexpected situations significantly.

Tir Y Coed is beyond superlatives. It is a destination in and of its own. Beautiful and luxurious with cuisine by Ian that is worthy of a Michelin star. Wow. Nothing more to say other than we didn't want to leave the gracious atmosphere Alan and Ian provide. Wow.

The Royal Magda Etoile is a very nice and well-appointed hotel. We were delighted with it. Per chance, it is very close to our favorite Paris restaurant, Citrus. In my opinion, Paris is the greatest and most beautiful city in the world, so I can't really say more than our 5 days there were just what we expected.

Great job, Kayla. Much of the enjoyment of these trips is due to your knowledge and organization that makes it all work so seamlessly. We are fans and we will call on your services for our next adventure.

A bientot.

Bill

Mr. P. Dunn, Salem, MA

Hello Kayla,

First off we want to thank you for such a wonderful trip. I really do not think it could have gone better at all. With this being our first trip overseas as well as our Honeymoon I was a little worried that everything wouldn't go how I imagined it. I am an avid planner and it was hard to allow someone else to plan the details of the trip, but I am very pleased that I did.

Every city we traveled to was amazing. The hotels were some of the best ones I've ever stayed in and all the staff members were extremely nice and helpful. We really felt like the accommodations added so much to the trip. Also, although we only had one tour planned through your company, it seemed like it was the best tour in Dublin. It was a jump-off bus tour that took you all over the city had something like twenty stops and the longest we ever waited was ten minutes after we toured the Guinness brewery.

Also the country house in Killarney was so wonderful. The location and scenery outside our window was amazing. We still can't believe how wonderful this trip was.

Another thing was that many of the hotels had restaurants in them and this was some of the best food we have had a pleasure of eating.

One thing I must mention is something that could have been a problem. In our hotel in Galway when we checked in and got to our room we had a leaky toilet. I called down they sent someone up right away and said they would fix it and we could go about our day. When returning to the hotel one of the staff members informed us that we had been moved rooms and all our things were in the room. Upon entering the room it was an upgrade. Once again I cannot stress how wonderful the hotel were as well as the staff members that were working there.

We cannot thank you enough Kayla for a perfect Honeymoon that we will treasure forever. If we ever decide to travel abroad again, which we do, I would definitely use your company again. Also, if I know anyone planning a trip, I will send them your way.

Thanks again

Patrick Dunn

Also let me know if I can do anything else to get the good word out there about your company and the services provided. I feel that this trip could not have gone better in any way and I would love other people to be able to hear about our experience

Mr. N. Estrella, Kenilworth, NJ

Hello Kayla,

I know it is a bit delayed but as usual, I returned from vacation with tons of work and errands waiting for me... I haven't caught up yet, but I felt you deserved to hear our feedback from our Italy trip...

Again, thank you very much for another excellent work... our trip to Italy was even more amazing than our trip to Spain last year... all the hotel choices and accommodations are perfect - the location for each of them were really ideal for what we wanted (to be able to explore these places ourselves)... the tours went smoothly... and the itinerary was well-planned.

Here are some details:

ROME

The location of the hotel right next to the Pantheon was amazing.

The voucher for the Colosseum entry was promptly given to us by the staff at AdS... this was a very thoughtful addition on your part... when we got there (Colosseum), I realized how much time and hassle you saved us when we saw the very long line of people trying to get tickets to get in (we probably wouldn't have the patience to wait coming from an 8 1/2 hr flight)... thank you for that... we were able to use the ticket again the following day for other places that we visited... would highly recommend this for anybody who is planning to visit the Colosseum and the ruins...

Vatican tour... small group of maximum 8 people only - much easier to move around the crowd once inside... the guide (Carina) was excellent... would highly recommend it...

POSITANO

This was my favorite part of the trip...it was nice even just to hang out in the balcony of our room in Bucca di Bacco during evenings and down-times...Capri and AnaCapri were beautiful. I thought there would be a lot of time to relax in this place with our itinerary... however, there are too many beautiful places nearby that we couldn't resist visiting... we went to Ravello on our last day... i'm glad you alloted 3 nights at this stop...

FLORENCE

Re: Hotel Golden Tower - among all our accommodations, I had the lowest expectations on this one... but I must say we were very impressed with their hotel and their service... they upgraded our room... we had a room that had 2 levels (living room downstairs, and bedroom upstairs) with 2 full baths... we also had free access to their spa - though we weren't able to use it because our schedule was too "hectic"... it felt the staff was really eager to make sure the guests were treated properly...

By chance, we discovered a small humble restaurant near the train station that served very good authentic Italian food - La Grotta di Leo... here, we had the cheapest, but the best we had the whole trip... lots of locals eating there and ordering pizza to take home... gets full by around 8pm, but easy to get a table if you go there earlier... definitely not a tourist restaurant (no fancy interior design, etc.) and not for fine dining... we were very comfortable there, though...

TUSCANY

I enjoyed driving in Tuscany very much... the GPS in the rental car saved us a lot of hassle/stress... the folks in the countryside are very nice, but are also not very good with English... I would say the GPS is a must, if one intends to really explore Tuscany...our accommodation at Casa P was excellent... we realized though that most people who stay there usually spends a week or longer (there were even 2 couples/retirees who booked their room for a month)... we would probably spend more time here next time... there are lots of towns/places in Tuscany we didn't get too see... 2 days was really too short (we got to visit Montepulciano, Pienza, and Cortona - but we felt as if we were rushing)... we would like to explore this area at a more relaxed pace next time... I'm glad you recommended this part of the trip...

VENICE

We got a free champagne from the manager of the hotel (Palace Bonvecchiati)... location was perfect.

I really, really, really look forward to getting a chance to work with you again next time. With your planning, the trip just flows so easily (no hassle) when you make all the plans...

Thanks again , and until next time...

Neil

Hi Kayla,

All in all, we had a wonderful trip and the arrangements you made on our behalf worked out well. All four hotels were lovely, and in all four cases, located in interesting and/or convenient parts of the city. We were able to walk to a lot of interesting places from each hotel. The guides were well-informed and flexible about timing (e.g. not in a hurry to drop us off). I got along so well with Jerry in Dublin that we went to a pub after the tour and downed a couple of Guinness!

More from me later after I've waded through a couple thousand e-mails.

Regards,

Richard

Hi Kayla -

So sorry I haven't gotten back with you--we had a GREAT time. You did an excellent job of lining everything up for us. The hotels were great!

The trains were quite an experience.

I think you did an excellent job - we so appreciated your detailed itinerary and instructions, hotel info, and maps.

Weather could have been better but not your fault. The countryside was beautiful in Switzerland (snowed on the mountain trip so we didn't even see the mountain!) & Austria.

The hotel in Switzerland was perfect & located 5 minutes from the train station-It even had a balcony overlooking the water.

We have alot of Great memories and could not have lined up just what we wanted to see without you - Job WELL DONE! I'm still working on the pictures but i would like to send you some of the better ones and also the letter of testimony - we really appreciated everything you did for us.

Thanks again Kayla!!

Kayla,

Thanks again for helping us put together another great vacation.

As usual, your selection of hotels, and especially windows with views, was excellent.

After the Athens walking tour, we found it easy to navigate to and visit the rest of the monuments and archaeological sites using the pass that we had to buy as part of the walking tour.

We found the drives to Delphi, Epidavros, and Mycenae to be relatively easy (instead of tours from Athens), but we recommend that travelers buy a good road-map of Greece upon arrival because roads are not as well-marked compared to the U.S. The fishing village of Epidavros was an excellent place to stay, although Mycenae was an hour drive away. If not visiting Epidavros, Naphlion would be a better place for an overnight stay. The hotel owners and staff in Delphi and Epidavros were unusually warm and helpful, and Delphi was a delightful place to stay overnight and to shop.

As I am sure is no surprise, we fell in love with Santorini and the hotel (and view) there was outstanding.

By the way, the financial situation both worldwide and in Greece makes shopping prices now fantastic, especially for jewelry and Greek vases (even before the much improved exchange rate).

Many thanks again. You've done a superb job on our much-needed vacations this past year from working in the high-stress environment of Baghdad.

If we can offer any other useful feedback, please feel free to ask.

Regards,

Hi Kayla,

Thanks for making our trip so smooth. Our hotels were beautiful, staff very welcoming and warming, We loved each hotel you chose for us, especially Hotel Al Ponte Antico in Venice and David Hotel in Florence.

Transportation were very sharp and very polite.

Absolutely no problems with flights or trains schedules. Booked tours were excellent and very informative, not boring at all.

We have no more words to say but thank you for making us so happy and confident during our trip.

We travel quite a bit and never had such wonderful experience and thanks once again to you for making this possible.

Patricia is very happy with your services and that is to say a lot, believe me.

We will not hesitate to contact you again for our next trip and already started recommending you to our friends.

Best regards,

Luis and Patty

Hi Kayla,

Thanks for your follow-up regarding our return from our Honeymoon. We would like to pass on some feedback to you regarding our trip, there were some amazing experiences thanks to your planning.

Venice

Everything from the time we left Orlando til we arrived in Venice went very smoothly. The time allowed for flight transitions and car service from the airport was perfect. We loved our hotel and the location in Venice.

Santorini

Skipping Athens and spending 4 days in Santorini was the best decision we made and it was the perfect ending to our honeymoon. It allowed us 4 days to unpack, unwind and take our time to experience the entire island and not feel rushed. Villa llias was the perfect hotel and we can't say enough about how friendly George and his staff were to us! I gave them a glowing review on TripAdvisor, which they were so deserving of. There are hundreds of hotels to choose from on Santorini and our first choice will always be Villa llias!

Overall, we had an amazing experience and beautiful memories from the trip with photos that we will cherish for a lifetime.

Thanks for everything and photos coming soon,

Brent & Denise

Kayla,

We are back home safely.

Our tour guide in Romania was phenomenal. We thoroughly enjoyed our trips to the sites we'd chosen and I'd recommend them to anyone. I wouldn't recommend Bucharest to your clients just yet. The city has much work to do. The good news is they are working on it. I'd love to help them with their marketing! Budapest was amazing, it was just too bad at we had rain/cold/wind each and every day in Hungary. Such a beautiful city, a shame the weather absolutely never cooperated. We couldn't get out and enjoy the sites nearly as much as we'd planned. That part was so disappointing. I could see so much else there to explore.

As far as your services, they were great. Each driver picked us up with no problem. Both hotels were phenomenal. It was great to have your services in planning the aspects of the trip that I just frankly don't have the time to do now.

I'll look forward to your response.

Kayla,

We had an absolute wonderful time on our honeymoon to France and Italy! Our hotels, tours, and transportation were all PERFECT! We were especially impressed with the hotels you had chosen for us. Since we wanted to keep the budget low, we were a little bit worried that we would be disappointed in the hotels, (especially European hotels), but we were shocked at how nice and cozy the hotels were, as well as equipped with an amazingly helpful concierge! They helped us book all of our reservations and gave us detailed maps and directions on how to get there.

Another thing was the location of the hotels could not have been better! All of the hotels were right in the mix of the cities. We walked everywhere, only taking a taxi when absolutely needing to, and in Paris, we were 3 minutes walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and the metro! We felt like we had the world at our fingertips! It was perfect!

If only you could have controlled the weather! Oh well... perfect wedding, perfect honeymoon, I guess not EVERYTHING can be perfect!

Thanks again! We will be sure to use your services again in the future!

Hi Kayla,

Thanks for the welcome home - we had a phenomenal time! Everything went like clockwork and despite the drizzly weather (attributed to the volcano) we reveled in every experience, each one special in its own way!

I will write up a more detailed testimony for your website and heartily recommend your service to anyone and everyone.

Thank you for the great service you provided, especially working under such a short time frame. We were absolutely delighted with everything!

More to follow later, but wanted to get this quick email off to you right away.

All the very best,

Therese

Kayla,

Thank you so much for helping us plan our first trip to Europe. Your dedication to understanding what our preferences and interests paid off with a tailored vacation that was nothing short of perfect. The hotels were beautiful, staffed with friendly people and situated in prime locations. The tours you recommended were very personal due to the smaller groups and very enjoyable. Heidi and I would have been lost organizing a two week vacation spanning 4 cities without the help from you and your staff. We have already recommended your company to everyone who has looked at our pictures and expressed a desire to go.

Berlin was our favorite part with the hospitality and culture that greeted us. The Berlin walks tour taught us so much and to understand the recent changes and affects of the reunification was fascinating.

Amsterdam was an amazing experience especially being there during Queens Day and getting to celebrate with the locals. The Keukenhof Tulip gardens were in full bloom and can only be described as the most picturesque setting imaginable.

Staying at the castle in Essen was a great experience. Getting to see the countryside in Europe and stepping away from the fast paced city was a nice break in the middle of the trip.

Paris was just as beautiful as we imagined with so much to see, your help narrowing the tours and sites was so helpful.

We are already talking about our next trip and will definitely be using Destination Europe to plan that as well. We can't thank you enough for your help in making a trip that is filled with great memories.

Hi Kayla,

Thanks! Our trip was fabulous and everything went smoothly. The hotels and tours were perfect and we had plenty of free time to do things on our own! Our weather was great and we landed early on both of our flights.

Anyway, I'll definitely send you some pictures and a testimonial as soon as I get caught up.

Thanks again for everything!

Hi Kayla,

Thank you so much for coordinating our trip and our eventual return. We had a great time and everything you set up for us was wonderful!

I will definitely use you again for any international trips and recommend you to friends and colleagues. Once we get caught up with life after being gone two weeks, we will write a very positive letter and post to your website about your great services!

Will be in touch!

Kayla:

Yet again, you have impressed us tremendously with your arrangements for our trip to four cities in England this spring.

Each hotel was fantastic--more than we expected--and the people incredibly friendly.

We've now relied on your plans for seven cities in both Italy and England, and you have yet to fail us.

As a matter of fact, every choice has greatly impressed us, and we have recommended your services and plan to use Destination Europe again in the future. Exemplary service and impeccable taste!

Thanks,

Hi Kayla,

We had a great trip, thank you so much for making it go so smoothly. Hotel Concordia was comfortable and clean. It is a good location in terms of the Spanish Steps and the high end shopping district.

Dark Rome tour of Vatican was excellent. Four stars!

Avventura guide, Francesca, and driver, Luigi, were marvelous! We went to the catacombs, Colliseum, and Forum. She left us with a great recommendation for lunch and introduced me to the owner. She told us a less expensive area to shop that the girls loved (I used that time to visit Castle Sant Angelus).

Day trip to Naples and Pompei was long but well organized.

Train ride to Venice was easy and comfortable. Hotel very convenient for that.

The Palazzo Abadessa is beautiful! If you haven't been there, you should visit once. Gorgeous! The girls room was pretty large as was mine. Good bathrooms. Sheets and pillows were wonderful as was the service.

The gentleman who met us was so kind... Phillapino.... and his father is the night manager. Marie-Louise, the owner, was there to help serve breakfast the first morning because of a staffing issue... she also recommended an unbelievably good restaurant Osteria Orto Dei Mori.

I enjoyed the trip to Murano etc and so did the girls though they were pretty warn out by then.

They liked Rome better than Venice because Rome stays open longer and there were more teenagers out and about in Rome. Venice was more couples and older people. I visited the Correr Museum and the Doge's Palace. If you buy a ticket to one place it gets you into several. It was raining when we got there so I ducked into the Museum and got my ticket easily. The next day I was able to by-pass a HUGE line to get into the Doge's Palace because I already had a ticket.

The young woman who helped us in the morning was an unexpected assistant and terrific. I probably could have handled it by myself but at that time of the morning to have someone there who knew exactly what to do was a great help.

You did a great job setting this up for me. Thank you again. And if there is any aspect that you want to ask me about, don't hesitate to...

My older daughter wants to visit Italy so we will likely go back in September. I will very likely be getting in touch with you.

Hi Kayla,

I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. We had the most amazing time in Europe and can't wait to go back. We would live over there if we could!

Everything went very smoothly, had no trouble at all. We had the best time and I loved being there in the winter, we felt like locals and everyone was so friendly and respectful. The owners of The Blue Sheep in Amsterdam even upgraded us to the suite since it was our honeymoon. We can't wait to go back to Europe. Thank you so much for everything.

I would be happy to post any pictures and I can write a letter of testimony as well, I would be happy to! I hope you are having a great day, you're wonderful at your job and thanks again!
